TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted January 14, 2013 Report Posted January 14, 2013 Good reasons for both candidates really. I'd be happy with either but I suppose it SHOULD be McGinley. Quote
Edinburghdon Posted January 14, 2013 Report Posted January 14, 2013 Good reasons for both candidates really. I'd be happy with either but I suppose it SHOULD be McGinley. Don't get me wrong, anyone of the candidates mentioned lately would be a great captain, really think McGinley should get it too though. I agree with McIlroy that the captaincy should be a one time thing. There are plenty of candidates now that deserve a chance rather than going back to Monty. Bit of a shame that it seems Sandy Lyle's time has passed though, would have been good for him to captain the team on home soil but the next generation seem to be in front of him in the queue now. Regardless of who gets the captaincy... I'm looking forward to winning more money off Topcorner Quote
topcorner Posted January 15, 2013 Report Posted January 15, 2013 Regardless of who gets the captaincy... I'm looking forward to winning more money off Topcorner As long as I keep hammering you on the course, I don't give a fuck Quote
Edinburghdon Posted January 15, 2013 Report Posted January 15, 2013 As long as I keep hammering you on the course, I don't give a fuck Should have seen that coming. Giving you a shot a hole on a par 3 course wasnt my best idea! Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted January 15, 2013 Report Posted January 15, 2013 McGinley appointed. Good luck!! Quote
BigAl Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 McGinley appointed. Good luck!! Correct appointment. monty has had his day and it would have been a monumental error to give him the captaincy again Quote
manc_don Posted February 4, 2013 Report Posted February 4, 2013 Amusing advert with McIlroy and Woods: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/golf/article-2262263/Rory-McIlroy-Tiger-Woods-star-new-comedy-advert-VIDEO.html#axzz2JwH8BIfO FYI, I do not read the DM! Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted February 4, 2013 Report Posted February 4, 2013 Well done Stephen Gallacher, won the Dubai Desert Classic, had a belter of a 3rd round 62. Quote
Madbadteacher Posted April 13, 2013 Report Posted April 13, 2013 Tiger. Took advantage with his drop on 15th, admitted it. Today gets 2 shot penalty; lots of USTV pundits think it should have been a DQ and that Tiger should now DQ himself. I agree it should hve been a DQ but the rules committee have found a "fudge" rule to keep him in, and, sorry if I'm wrong, I just don't see Tiger admitting any more fault and DQing himself. Kinda takes the gloss off it now, especially if he manages a good finish. Quote
Kowalski Posted April 15, 2013 Report Posted April 15, 2013 I thought it was scandalous that he wasn't disqualified, it was a very bad day for golf. Wonder how much pressure the organisers were put under by US television? It was cheating, pure and simple. Quote
Tyrant Posted April 15, 2013 Report Posted April 15, 2013 I don't really understand where he went wrong. I'm not all that clued up on golf tournament rules. Who won it? Quote
CtS Posted April 15, 2013 Report Posted April 15, 2013 Angel Cabrera was a star, great ambassador for golf and sport in general. He's kind of like the opposite of that cunt tiger woods. And well done Adam Scott, showed great bottle and spoke really well at the presentation. Quote
Edinburghdon Posted April 15, 2013 Report Posted April 15, 2013 I'm not entirely sure why theres so much ill feeling towards Woods, hardly his fault the committee made the wrong call and failed to disqualify him. If he'd known that he had broken a rule would he really have mentioned it in his interview? Seems like an honest mistake that was dealt with terribly. Thought Woods came across quite well through it all to be honest. Quote

TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted April 15, 2013 Report Posted April 15, 2013 Honest mistake? Don't know how he thought what he did was within the rules. Quote
Kowalski Posted May 22, 2013 Report Posted May 22, 2013 Quite a spat going on between Tiger and Sergio. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/golf/22610823 Can "fried chicken" be associated with anyone from the deep south, rather than specifically black people!? Either way it's a fairly foolish comment, but possibly blown out of proportion now. Quote
BigAl Posted May 22, 2013 Report Posted May 22, 2013 Totally out of all proportion...walk into any KFC and you'll see plenty non black people tucking into it. Woods is a moaning faced prick at the best of times Quote
maverick sheep Posted May 22, 2013 Author Report Posted May 22, 2013 it is quite a big racial slur in the US because chicken was pretty much all the slaves had the means to use for making their own food. Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted May 23, 2013 Report Posted May 23, 2013 Garcia doesn't like the cunt and justifiably so. Silly comment though. Quote
CtS Posted May 23, 2013 Report Posted May 23, 2013 Sergio should have just kept to the facts, and called him a miserable, greetin' faced cunt. Quote
Kowalski Posted May 23, 2013 Report Posted May 23, 2013 George O'Grady: "We accept all races on the European Tour - most of Sergio's friends happen to be coloured athletes in the United States,". Quote
CtS Posted May 23, 2013 Report Posted May 23, 2013 If Garcia had said he was inviting Paul Lawrie round for some haggis, I doubt we'd be discussing it in a thread on donstalk. Tiger needs to laugh it off, or just fuck off. Everyone's an over sensitive arsehole these days. A bit like scousers. Quote
