Superstar Tradesman Posted June 25, 2013 Report Posted June 25, 2013 This was reported on STV sports news at back of six tonight. Reaction then and reaction now the same...... great news and rules out even any slight chance that McInnes could sign him twice Incredible to think that he played nearly 250 first team games for us OK, I'll say it. Found his level. Quote
Stewart Posted June 25, 2013 Report Posted June 25, 2013 Lol, two year deal. So you mean he'll be with them for the Division 1 title challenge but might be ditched when they reach the SPL? I am stunned. Quote
glasgow sheep Posted June 27, 2013 Report Posted June 27, 2013 Ross County: Richard Brittain not at St Johnstone training Richard Brittain has failed to turn up for St Johnstone's first day of pre-season training. The Ross County captain signed a pre-contract with Saints in January, but changed his mind about the move . Brittain then signed a new contract with County, while the Perth clubs have asked the football authorities to intervene in the impasse. The midfielder was present at Ross County's first pre-season training session, on Thursday. Quote

RDU_64 Posted June 27, 2013 Report Posted June 27, 2013 Hopefully they can rent a set when they get to the course. I see Brittain's move to Perth is now off. Big boost for County. Quote
mizer Posted July 2, 2013 Report Posted July 2, 2013 Hull City have signed former Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor from Besiktas on a three-year deal, subject to international clearance. McGregor, who has joined for a fee believed to be around £1.8m, has 29 international caps for Scotland. The 31-year-old told the club website: "I'm really excited to be here and I'm happy that everything is done now. "This is a great chance for me to play in the Premier League and I'm looking forward to the season ahead." McGregor made over 200 appearances for Rangers before moving to Turkey in July 2012. Midfielder David Wotherspoon has signed a two-year deal with hometown club St Johnstone following his release from Scottish top flight rivals Hibernian. The 23-year-old moved to Easter Road in 2007, having been with Saints and Celtic as a youth. He made a scoring debut for Hibs in 2009 and was rewarded with a four-year contract later that year. The former Scotland Under-21 international scored four goals in 38 appearances last season. Quote
mizer Posted July 2, 2013 Report Posted July 2, 2013 Goodwillie back to the arabs on loan Scotland striker David Goodwillie is returning to Dundee United on a six-month loan from Blackburn Rovers. The 24-year-old scored 40 goals in 136 games for United before moving to Ewood Park in a £2m switch in August 2011. But Goodwillie made just 10 starts for Rovers last season and endured an unhappy loan stint at Crystal Palace. "I am striving to improve Dundee United in both the short and long term and adding a player of David's quality will help," said manager Jackie McNamara. Quote
Tyrant Posted July 4, 2013 Report Posted July 4, 2013 That's them skint then? Unless we publicise one of our next targets. Then United will find some extra finance and get him signed up from under our noses. Quote
BigAl Posted July 4, 2013 Report Posted July 4, 2013 Goodwillie back to the arabs on loan Seem to be creaming themselves about the "signing" of Goodwillie. Have I missed something here, thought he was only on a six month loan. Reckon it'll take more than that to replace the quality they've lost over the summer. Perhaps the couple of trialists from English football's SIXTH tier and the striker who has scored one goal in 35 games can do it for them Quote
BigAl Posted July 8, 2013 Report Posted July 8, 2013 Chelski have second bid turned down for ex Murderwell keeper John Ruddy. £6 million apparently Quote
Jute Posted July 8, 2013 Report Posted July 8, 2013 David Villa signs for Althetico Madrid for £4.4M. Quote
manc_don Posted July 9, 2013 Author Report Posted July 9, 2013 Jeez, didn't see that one coming! Bargain for a player of his quality. Quote
Jute Posted July 9, 2013 Report Posted July 9, 2013 Jeez, didn't see that one coming! Bargain for a player of his quality. Yeah was very surprised when I saw the size of the fee. Would have thought there would been plenty of clubs willing to pay 3 or 4 times that for a player of his ability and with his scoring record. Quote
Tyrant Posted July 9, 2013 Report Posted July 9, 2013 Da ken like. The boy's a fine player but no spring chicken. Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted July 9, 2013 Report Posted July 9, 2013 He's 31! That said, he's had a couple of bad injuries recently. Quote
maverick sheep Posted July 9, 2013 Report Posted July 9, 2013 Think 4.4 is the max price depending on appearances etc. outlay is less than 3m i think. Could be wrong. As a replacement for Falcao, in terms of finance at least, this is fucking amazing business. Get it right fucking up ye spurs you horrible little cunts! Quote
tlg1903 Posted July 9, 2013 Report Posted July 9, 2013 Would have loved to have seen him play in the epl personally Quote
manc_don Posted July 10, 2013 Author Report Posted July 10, 2013 I'm with tlg on that one. Still, a massive bit of business despite his injury history. Quote
