Kowalski Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 Good. What does this mean for Milne and Miller? Quote
capitalsharpie Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 Another shield to deflect criticism away from milne, whilst I imagine miller will still do contract and signing type stuff. Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 I cannot be the only one who recoils in total fucking terror at the business language used in that article. develop an integrated strategic approach across the whole club and move the organisational structure forward to take full advantage of the opportunities a new stadium will offer looking forward to playing a more strategic role at this extremely challenging time. My focus will be on driving the projects forward, getting the right organisational structure for the future and developing our key personnel to empower them to ensure we move forward on and off the pitch Jesus. I thought he was already in control of the "day to day running of the club". Quote
Penfold Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 Change of job title and probably a pay rise in there. Didnt realise he has stepped down from the SPL board though. Quote

TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 Totally agree TF, Im amazed there wasn't a quantify or proactive in there "synergies", "thinkronicity", "imagineer", "blue sky thinking" and other such bollocks. At my work "going forward" and "cascading of information" are the "must have" accessory to every fucking memo. Quote
Kowalski Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 We haven't had a new 3 year plan created for a couple of seasons now, maybe he's going to work on that. Quote
Slim Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 We haven't had a new 3 year plan created for a couple of seasons now, maybe he's going to work on that. He'll stir fry some ideas in his mind wok and run one of them up the flag pole to see if anyone salutes. Quote

Kowalski Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 There's been a few articles in the EE this week about Duncan Fraser... Aberdeen FC chief is out to balance the books Fraser facing ‘an enormous challenge’ By Charlie Allan Published: 09/09/2010 DUNCAN Fraser today admitted the way Aberdeen FC’s greatest-ever chairman ran the club will influence him as he bids to get the finances back on track. The 46-year-old Aberdonian, who was recently appointed the club’s fourth chief executive, described the task of clearing the club’s debts – while ensuring they still field a successful team – as “an enormous challenge”. Duncan is not ashamed to reveal he has looked back at how legendary Aberdeen FC chairman Dick Donald ran the club. Dick was on Pittodrie’s board of directors from 1949 until his death in 1993 and was chairman for 23 years. He balanced the books but also helped deliver the club’s greatest team, the one managed by Alex Ferguson that dominated the Scottish game in the 1980s. Duncan said: “Things have a habit of going in cycles. “Some of the things Dick Donald did were right for the time he was operating in. But there are others that have become right for our time again. Fraser says stadium is key to Aberdeen FC’s future ‘We need facilities fit for this century’ By Charlie Allan Published: 10/09/2010 NEW Aberdeen FC chief executive Duncan Fraser today underlined his ambition to ensure the club deliver the promised new £38 million stadium at Loirston Loch. Aberdeen FC have already submitted a planning application for what would be the biggest new-build project in Scotland for more than a century. The stunning arena will hold 21,000 people and club bosses hope to attract major national sporting events and concerts. The facility will also be lit by a red glow at night, similar to Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena. Aberdeen FC chief's backing for Willie Miller Pittodrie supremo Fraser supports legend Published: 11/09/2010 ABERDEEN FC legend Willie Miller was today assured his future at the club is safe. Pittodrie chief executive Duncan Fraser dismissed rumours that Aberdeen FC director Miller could be on the move by underlining how much he values having the former club captain and manager on board. Miller has faced criticism, mainly because of his poor business record away from Pittodrie. But Fraser praised the job he does at the club and insisted he hopes to keep working with Miller for some time yet. Quote
