I thoroughly enjoyed T2. Having not seen the 1st one since the 90s I didn't have it fresh in my mind but I don't remember it being anywhere near as good as the 2nd one? I may need to re-watch admittedly. I thought the glimpses back to the 1st one were well done. I liked all the characters but the way Spud and Begbie are does make them stand out more.

Begbie's son looked like Craig Gordon and Kevin Bridges had a kid together.

I didn't realise that Diane was also Margaret from Boardwalk Empire!

Saw La la land last night, quite enjoyed it.  I think I can understand the hype, not like many other films you see being made these days.

Hopefully seeing T2 in the next couple of weeks.

Manchester by the Sea is very worth a watch

Missus wanted to watch that on Saturday night.

Went along with it to keep the peace.

Ended up that I enjoyed it more than she did.

Thought the perfomance by Casey Affleck was outstanding.

Felt his pain throughout the film.

Where the original Trainspotting got a 9/10 from me - and both Trainspotting and Porno the books get 10/10 - T2 gets 8.25 out of 10 from me. Very enjoyable, if not very far-fetched most of the time. Some harrowing scenes, some hilarious ones. Anjela Nedyalkova stunningly beautiful highlight for me. Begbie is brilliant. Spud is class. It's a must-see.

I watched the original last week and thought it was better and funnier than I remember, (been like 10 years since I last watched it). Not seen the second one yet, not out here until March

I didn't realise they still delayed releases by that much these days due to piracy!

Thought La La Land was horrific. Dull Dull Land. I can only assume folk get drawn in by the bit at the end designed to make folk (wifies) cry. Even my wife who normally laps that kind of shite up commented that it was really boring and she only wanted to stay to the end as she'd invested time in it.

Saw Manchester by the sea at the weekend, heart breaking stuff. Grief so totally overwhelming and superbly acted. There is no way Ryan Gosling should win the Oscar before Casey Affleck (that's not to say other performances I haven't seen are not better).

Saw T2 on the Saturday it was out. Loved the original took me a while to get used to the pace of this one as its nowhere near the first, which still now seems like its been on ten minutes at the final scene. However I think it's reflective of the place the characters are in their lives and is deliberately more pedestrian . Once you understand that I think it's a terrific film in it's own right. Looking forward to seeing it again. As said, Spud and Begbie were highlights as was the surprise at seeing Mikey Forrester now a seemingly successful gangster.

Im not saying casey affleck is a bad actor but the roles he chooses are incredibly boring normally.

Jesse james was awful with him.

Ben his bro is far far superior imo.

Has anyone seen Passengers?

Run of the mill sci-fi i felt but quite enjoyed it.

J-Law is fookin gorgeous still and seems a great laugh.

In interviews.

Just finished watching 'Arrival' with Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner.

Promised to be an excellent movie but kinda petered out I felt.

Seen better and more interesting OLD Star Trek 60s episodes tbh.

And 'rotten tomatoes' is utter shite for film reviews..they gave it 92%. u pretentious chunts.

Fair enough, quite liked LA LA land and thought it was something different

Saw T2 tonight, thoroughly enjoyed it. As you said, more pedestrian but enjoyable nonetheless. Was hoping we'd see a bit more of Diane than we did.

I don't know what you were all expecting with La La Land?! It was a lovely feel good romantic film - the singing and dancing were fab and Ryan Gosling is always easy to watch

I think all the ones I've seen that are in the running for best film at the Oscars have been superb so I would be surprised if La La Land gets it over Arrival and Manchester by the Sea in particular

Casey Affleck's perfomance was heart breaking, such raw emotion - after that scene when you suddenly understand why he is broken you just feel his absolute torture

I'm going to see Hacksaw Ridge this afternoon after a bit of the rugby - I do like Andrew Garfield

Hacksaw Ridge is very good and Andrew Garfield excellent.

Lots of political chat at the Baftas last night, not convinced that Emma Stone should have got best actress as I thought Natalie Portman was immense in Jackie and I really liked Amy Adams in Arrival.

Fences and Loving next on my list....

Do love Oscar season, will need to get a few more watched.  Broadband suppliers have been putting barriers up on my viewing...

Aye same here, cunts at Virgin blocking sites.

Watched Fences and was very disappointed.

Bit like watching a stage drama set in a house.

Acting by Daniel very good with a shit load of dialogue to remember but its just a pretty boring film im afraid.

Far far too much talking for me.

Better option is Antwone  Fisher by a country mile.

Too much talking is an interesting criticism. Henry Fonda in that jury film, shot in one room was all dialogue and that was an all time classic.

There's a load of dialogue mostly films throughout the years which have been very entertaining.

I just feel this wasn't one of them.

It's only a criticism of this particular film.

Saw the Lego Batman movie last night. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would but you couldn't pay me to sit through it again. The new Resident Evil film is in the same boat. Not much danger of them winning Oscars like.

I saw 3096 Days the other night. Nae a new film but I'd never seen it before. Pretty weird/harrowing film but it just about held my interest.

Sounds like I need to see Manchester By The Sea.

Defo get it watched

Twelve Angry Men is one of my all time fav films, saw it in the theatre last year too

Casablanca tonight - it was fab - how beautiful still is Ingrid Bergman!!

This concept interests me, the re-watching of a film already seen.

One of my daughters is visiting this weekend and is taking her mother to La La Land. She's already seen it and it was hardly months ago when it first came out. She's not a thick cunt, doing a Ph.D. in highly specialised medicine having racked up first class honours and distinctions and stuff.

But I think it's fucking stupid to go see a film again. You've seen it already! Why bother going again? My son wanted to join me to see T2, having seen it within 7 days earlier. What's wrong with these cunts, including my own? Understandable if it's Pulp Fiction (or other Tarantino's) or other brilliant films (of which there are very few) but wait a couple of years at least. Kids these days...
