Tyrant Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 I went to see Thor last night and although I'm no sci-fi fan I thoroughly enjoyed it. Best film I've seen since The Hangover. Quote
Reekie_Red Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 Got half way thru watching "The Figher" on the old laptop at the maternity ward. Really enjoying it so far. Quote

Kowalski Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 The King's Speech Enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. Some excellent performances. 9/10. Black Swan Quite intense and a bit daft towards the end but decent enough. 8/10. Hoping to see the Senna documentary next week. Quote
tlg1903 Posted June 4, 2011 Report Posted June 4, 2011 Hoping to see the Senna documentary next week. going to go see that tonight Quote
Kowalski Posted June 5, 2011 Report Posted June 5, 2011 going to go see that tonight How was it? All the reviews have been excellent. I'm seeing it tomorrow. Quote
Goldie03 Posted June 5, 2011 Report Posted June 5, 2011 I saw The Hangover 2 last week - was funny but not quite the same impact as the first one Apparently Bridesmaids which is out in June is the girlie equivalent - have to say it looks absolutely pish from the trailer Quote
Harcus Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 Apparently Bridesmaids which is out in June is the girlie equivalent - have to say it looks absolutely pish from the trailer Sounds awful. Presumably there will be lots of L plates, cock shaped straws and shrieking. This week, I have not been watching this - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Human_Centipede_(First_Sequence) Quote
Kowalski Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 The Senna documentary is brilliant, I highly recommend it! Quote
tom_widdows Posted June 10, 2011 Report Posted June 10, 2011 I thought the Hangover part 2 was terrible. To me it seemed to be more 'fuck thats just horrible' instead of 'that looks like a right laugh' Zach Galifianakis's character also comes across as someone who needs locking up for his and everyone elses safety. The first film the humour came from his ignorance of the real world and the consequences of his actions but now its more sinister. Tragically I suspect there will be a 3rd one or a spin-off series featuring 'Alan' that will go straight to DVD over here Quote
dave_min Posted June 11, 2011 Report Posted June 11, 2011 I seen that Senna film last week and it's good - but i'm not sure I would have enjoyed it any less had it been on BBC2 instead. The Hitzelberger(sp?) crash was a pretty horrible thing to watch. Prost doesn't come over very well on it! Quote

Kowalski Posted June 11, 2011 Report Posted June 11, 2011 Prost doesn't come over very well on it! It wasn't exactly an un-biased documentary. My memory of the time is that it wasn't exactly Prost + FIA v Senna. Senna brought a lot on himself. Quote
Goldie03 Posted June 12, 2011 Report Posted June 12, 2011 I went to see X-Men : First Class last night - wasn't my choice but it was actually pretty good Quote

Edinburghdon Posted July 16, 2011 Report Posted July 16, 2011 A couple of colleagues of mine went to the midnight shows on thursday night, could certainly think of better ways to spend my evenings! My brother and his mrs actually took the day off on thursday to watch the previous films in preparation of seeing the latest one last night. He's now been disowned. Quote
