tlg1903 Posted April 10, 2012 Report Posted April 10, 2012 Anyone Watched Drive? Best film i have watched in a long time. No that it means much but it got 93% on Rotten Tomatoes. Cool Soundtrack as well. It was alright that film, do think some of the praise for it has been over the top though. It needed more driving involved if you ask me. Anyhow. I decided recently i want to watch some old classic movies. Anyone got any recommendations? Currently watching Dr Strangelove on film 4, really funny in places. "gentleman you cant fight in here, its the war room!" Class Quote
Madbadteacher Posted April 10, 2012 Report Posted April 10, 2012 Any class old Humptey Bogart stuff. Key Largo To Have and Have not Maltese Falcon etc........ Quote

Tyrant Posted April 12, 2012 Report Posted April 12, 2012 No. Ach the sound track was ok, don't get me wrong. But the folk reviewing the film were overrating it to the extreme. Quote

tom_widdows Posted May 2, 2012 Report Posted May 2, 2012 I really enjoyed that, what didn't you like about it? The lack of tarmaced drives and custom made suits? Quote
Kowalski Posted May 3, 2012 Report Posted May 3, 2012 I really enjoyed that, what didn't you like about it? I just thought it was a far too slow and had clocked who was going to be the double agent early doors, just based on the casting in the film. Quote
tlg1903 Posted May 3, 2012 Report Posted May 3, 2012 it was on film 4 not so long ago, gutted i missed it Quote
glasgowdon Posted May 3, 2012 Report Posted May 3, 2012 Yip. All 4 hours and change! Ooft, that might even be the Uncut. Helluva show! Quote

Kowalski Posted May 12, 2012 Report Posted May 12, 2012 Watched One Day Removals last night. Very poorly acted but to be fair, there were some genuinely funny moments, much funnier than some of the so called black comedies that have come out of Hollywood recently. http://www.stirtonproductions.com/onedayremovals/home/Home_odr.html Some great Aiberdonian banter in it Quote
manc_don Posted May 13, 2012 Author Report Posted May 13, 2012 Watched "Jeff, who lives at home" last night. Some good amusing moments in the film, but probably one to watch with the other half. Quote

Penfold Posted May 14, 2012 Report Posted May 14, 2012 Watched it a few years ago. The younger guy in it used to/does work in Abercrombie bar and was in a Sci-fi film filmed on Balmedie beach. Quote
