BigAl Posted January 9, 2014 Report Posted January 9, 2014 Going to see Last Vegas tonight Mmm, had its moments, but thats about it. Found it all just a little bit predictable Expected more from a cast of De Niro, Freeman, Douglas & Kline. 3/5 rating. Quote
Superstar Tradesman Posted January 13, 2014 Report Posted January 13, 2014 Christopher Walken & Al Picino in 'Stand Up Guys' was decent. Anything with those two would be. Had low expectations for 'Meet The Millers' but turned out I enjoyed it. Quote
Tyrant Posted January 13, 2014 Report Posted January 13, 2014 I went in to see Delivery Man with low expectations but I have to say I quite enjoyed it. Quote
Mentorred Posted January 13, 2014 Report Posted January 13, 2014 Went to see HER at the weekend. Did not like it. Had some funny parts but mainly was a lot of boring scenes with a guy talking to his computer. My wife liked it. Quote
scotfree Posted January 16, 2014 Report Posted January 16, 2014 Saw 7 Psychopaths last night and really enjoyed it. Just watched it. It's shite. Quote

Superstar Tradesman Posted January 20, 2014 Report Posted January 20, 2014 World War Z - Nothing new, disappointed. This Is The End - Awesome. Quote

Goldie03 Posted January 25, 2014 Report Posted January 25, 2014 12 Years a Slave is well worth seeing Saw a trailer for Dallas Buyers Club which looks good - ooh and George Clooney with Matt Damon in The Monuments Men - what's not to like about that Quote

Seen the trailer for Monuments Men and thought it looks ok, although probably not for the same reasons as you Finally went to see American Hustle and have to say apart from first fifteen/twenty minutes I loved it Quote

Goldie03 Posted January 26, 2014 Report Posted January 26, 2014 Ok, get your drift, just a pity Amy Adams didn't have bigger breasts I loved her hair so I wasn't looking at her breasts I saw The Railway Man this afternoon and it is worth seeing too Tomorrow night I'm going to a film for Holocaust Memorial Day - I'm gonna need a chick flick next weekend Quote
Tyrant Posted January 27, 2014 Report Posted January 27, 2014 I went to see The Wolf of Wall Street the other night. Cracking film. Extremely well acted. Kept me enterrtained despite me not being a fan of really long films (this one is aboot 3 hours) and it has plenty of boobies. Quote

Kowalski Posted January 30, 2014 Report Posted January 30, 2014 Agree with some of the comments about American Hustle. 2 hours of my life that I will never get back. Great acting but dull as hell. Quote
RDU_64 Posted February 9, 2014 Report Posted February 9, 2014 Went to see The Railway Man on Friday night. Very good. I've read the book too which is also, very good. Watched The Wolf of Wall Street, cracking film. Di Caprio is brilliant in it. And what about the lass that used to be in Neighbours?! Phwaor!!! Kent I recognised her from somewhere! Zero Dark Thirty and 12 years a Slave next up for me. Quote
Goldie03 Posted February 16, 2014 Report Posted February 16, 2014 This weekend I have seen Cuban Fury which is terrible and The Wolf of Wall Street which I liked better than I thought I would - it has an air of Goodfellas about it without the violence Leonardi di Caprio just gets better every time I see him and hotter too Too many tits and not any cock tho Quote
Kowalski Posted February 17, 2014 Report Posted February 17, 2014 The World's End - great cast and fantastic soundtrack (Primal Scream, Blur, Suede, Happy Mondays, St Etienne, Pulp etc...). Rather disappointing film though, it was just a bit too silly. Quote
BigAl Posted February 20, 2014 Report Posted February 20, 2014 We were going to go and see Monument Men last night, but have just read/heard one too many bad reviews about it so we gave it a miss. Watched Dallas Buyers Club instead. Wasn't really sure what to expect to be hnoest, but got to say thoroughly enjoyed it, with excellent perfomances from the three main characters played by Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Garner and Jared Leto.
