manc_don Posted November 5, 2014 Author Report Posted November 5, 2014 Fury is excellent. I really want to see this and Nightcrawler. Just waiting for it to come out in my local Picturehouse at some sensible times... Quote

Kowalski Posted November 8, 2014 Report Posted November 8, 2014 For all the visual scale on show in Interstellar I found it to be ultimately disappointing, bordering on nonsense. First half was excellent though. Quote
tlg1903 Posted November 8, 2014 Report Posted November 8, 2014 The Twelfth Man short film about football fans. I went to stjames years ago, mate was studying down there and managed to get tickets for a eufa cup game against Ferencvarosi. Watching that reminded me of just how little space is around the ground, it's slap bang in the centre of the city. It must be a nightmare keeping home and away fans separate there, being match commander when sunderland come to town must be an utter head fuck Quote

First half was excellent though. I thought it was a brilliant film, first half as you said was excellent, but didn't mind the second. Some good comedy moments within it as well. Quote
mizer Posted November 20, 2014 Report Posted November 20, 2014 Summit’s attempt to mount a new version of 1986’s action fantasy Highlander has been through the development wringer, with multiple script drafts and several directors attached before dropping off. The studio is hoping to give the film a kick up the casting chain, eyeing Tom Cruise to take over the mentor role originally played by Sean Connery. Quote

Superstar Tradesman Posted November 21, 2014 Report Posted November 21, 2014 'Dumb and Dumber To' was better than expected. Especially after seeing the title. Quote
Tyrant Posted November 25, 2014 Report Posted November 25, 2014 Watched Star Wars Episode 4, 5, 2, 3 and 6 yesterday in that order. Never seen them before. I saw Episode 1 back when it came out. Didn't think I'd like them at all because that sort of stuff isn't normally my cup of tea but I have to admit I quite enjoyed them. Quote
tom_widdows Posted November 25, 2014 Report Posted November 25, 2014 in terms of 4,5 & 6 did you see the actual originals or the shite doctored ones Lucas jacked out to fund his pension about 20 years ago? Quote
Goldie03 Posted November 25, 2014 Report Posted November 25, 2014 The Imitation Game is fantastic Quote
Superstar Tradesman Posted November 26, 2014 Report Posted November 26, 2014 Lone Survivor is great. Although it heavily backs up the question; is it all worth it? Quote

tom_widdows Posted November 26, 2014 Report Posted November 26, 2014 If there was any dodgy CGI in the 1977, 1980 and 1983 ones then they were doctored. Quote
tlg1903 Posted November 26, 2014 Report Posted November 26, 2014 The Imitation Game is fantastic Very much this Quote

Superstar Tradesman Posted December 5, 2014 Report Posted December 5, 2014 Crazy Stupid Love (I think it was called?) Thought I'd been conned into watching a chick-flick but it was alright watching for a semi-reformed misogynist such as myself. Worth a giggle. Quote
Andrew Posted December 5, 2014 Report Posted December 5, 2014 Watched Dallas Buyers Club last night. Great film. Really good acting from Matthew Mcconaughey and Jared Leto. Well worth a watch. Quote

manc_don Posted December 8, 2014 Author Report Posted December 8, 2014 Watched Nightcrawler followed by Dallas Buyers Club on sat night. Both absolutely brilliant films! Jake Gyllenhaal was superb in the Nightcrawler, really dark film. Quote
scotfree Posted December 10, 2014 Report Posted December 10, 2014 saw the "hacked" version of fury. my god what terrible acting from every one of those so called actors. the film itself was pointless. I found that movie completely depressing. I know war movies are not the funniest of movies but by fuck that was hard going. Quote
Madbadteacher Posted December 12, 2014 Report Posted December 12, 2014 Phineas and Ferb Star Wars BRILLIANT! Quote
