Mistake by a rookie at the end. Sounded like we did not play that well and the game could have gone either way. Now we will get to see what this team is about see if they can bounce back right away. Pity there is a 2 week gap. Atleast it was not like last season where they did not try. Seemed like the battled for every ball just could not take the chances.

Not ready to hang myself just yet.

Aye, same team as Hamilton but Mackie in for Aluko. I'm not one of these Mackie haters that will have a go at him for no reason but he looked gash today. One thing he has is that he puts himself about but today he looked like he didn't want to be there, to be honest it looked like he was in a sulk coz he was asked to play on the left where we were missing Aluko.

Other than that we were so so..... just didn't have any urgency about us. Started well although when Maguire? missed the rebound early on it looked like we'd rue that chance.

Howard looks shaky at times, few good saves. Prefer Langfield to be in but how can you drop a goalie that hadn't conceded?

Ifil deserved his MOTM (for us) and Folly looked good too.

Connor Salmon was causing a lot of problems, best player on the park, was shitting it everytime the ball came to him.

Mirror image of the St Johnstone game.

They were slightly better than us, created more, and in the end probably deserved the win.

Generally poor from the dons. Midfield to detached from our one striker, no width what so ever and our best player anonymous in the middle of the park (that's Pawlett btw).

Ifil, Howard and McArdle were all ok.

Rest were poor.

Maguire and Mackie were terrible.

One defeat doesn't end the promise we have shown this season but we missed Aluko badly today and the fans will have to be more patient if as 5th or 6th is the very limit of our ability this season.

Loosing against Jimmy's dross, a team having a transitional season after a change of manager, is very disappointing.  However we dominated for long spells and there's still plenty to be optomistic about.

Pick ourselves up for Utd and Motherwell, then the huns game will take care of itself.

I think it was Final Score that called the game an 'entertaining match'. I'm flabbergasted that a match against Killie could be anything better than absolute dross.

Was it a mistake from Howard then?

The scary thing is before the match I predicted (in a tongue in cheek kind of way) that we'd get beat 1-0 as a result of a goalkeeping blunder and that Langfield would be back next week.  :o

So its your fault.

I see McGhee is showing his brilliant man management skills by laying the blame for the goal at the door of 18 year old Megginson.

He's well and truely tore into him in the EE, confidence boost and a half for the lad!

Some players need an arm round them after making mistakes like that others need a kick up the arse.

Let's see how Megginson reacts before we start belittling Mcghee's man management skills, eh?

Spot on! Whats the point in giving him a cuddle and telling him its ok when he made a stupid mistake which cost us a point! At that age you will be chomping at the bit to get back out on the pitch and make ammends. On the other hand telling him its ok will give the impression its ok to make stupid mistakes, and that its ok to be a fud!

Agreed. But it should all be done in private. All he needed to say was the lad knows he made a mistake and he will learn from it. If it happens week in week out then you can maybe go public but not into the 3rd game of the season.

Maybes Mcghee is sending a message to the fans that these sort of things wont be going unseen and unpunished, i have no problem with is! Providing he doesnt have a super sulk though  ;D

Maybe he should be asking the rest of the team and himself why we were only 0-0 at 92mins........

Whilst accepting the different strokes/man management arguments, the fact is the young fella seems to be shouldering a great deal of the blame which appears desperately unfair. Particularly when the above is taken into account.
