dave_min Posted August 31, 2010 Report Posted August 31, 2010 Is there a 12pm? As far as I'm aware there is only a 12 midday and a 12 midnight. Quote
Penfold Posted August 31, 2010 Report Posted August 31, 2010 Stirling Smith is away on loan to Dumbarton. A left back out would have suggested Basey coming in but he's only away for 1 month. Quote
glasgow sheep Posted August 31, 2010 Report Posted August 31, 2010 ??? ??? He has? He might be if he was played up front where he did well for Killie....but we insist on playing him on the right wing Quote
Harcus Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 http://www.afc.co.uk/articles/20101130/dons-striker-michael-paton_2212158_2234089 He's out on trial with some team in Innsbruck, Austria, with a view to a loan move in January. Another young player seemingly alienated by McGhee? On the other hand, Paton was idiotic enough to get involved in Facebook-gate, and his attitude doesn't seem to have been sparkling since then. Any strikers off the wage bill, even temporarily, has got to be a good thing. Will hopefully allow the new manager to bring in a fucking full-back. Quote

Says to me that if McGhee is still being allowed to punt players that his position is under no threat and it is him who will be using any funds freed up in the winter break. Quote
Harcus Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 Would be gutted if that was the case. Still though, if you can't get the sack after a club's record loss, in a sparkling run of 6 straight losses, leading the club to joing bottom, when are you going to? Quote

Aye a few of the guys were saying that on Saturday on live chat. Quote
stoney Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 Was told he was on his arse after he refused to attend the hospitality for the sponsors on the night of the Raith game, was surprised when he got a run out at inverness to be honest. Quote
baggy89 Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 Its great that we have a manager that knows how to treat the young players and get the most out of them. Quote

mizer Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 This season! Possibly he did but hes been out of McGhees favour since the previous raith game. Quote
Madbadteacher Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 Fucking brilliant! Make a paper thin squad even thinner? Dingus, you are the weakest link! Quote
BigAl Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 Can't imagine that Paton going anywhere is going to save us a huge amount in wages. Guess he can take comfort from the way he is being treated in the fact that he'll be at Pittodrie after McGhee has left. Quote
McMaster Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 To be fair we have plenty of strikers, all be it a lot mis-firing. Puting Paton on loan seems a bit of sense, providing he gets plenty of game time. If he starts banging them in and his confidence grows, bonus. Plus freeing up some age bills. It beats sitting on the bench at Pittodrie wanting to get away! Plus it gives McGhee the chance, when the seaon kicks off next year, to say the immortal line "Its like having a new signing". As its been said he aint gettin the boot! We have a semi-final and that will keep him in job security for at least 5 years Quote
Superstar Tradesman Posted December 1, 2010 Report Posted December 1, 2010 He's stuck him out on loan so that he can continue with the "once I get all my own players back on the park" routine. Quote
Graeme_S Posted December 1, 2010 Report Posted December 1, 2010 To be fair, we need players that are gonna battle now to get us out of this sh1t that we're in, and Paton doesn't strike me as the knuckle down and give 110% type of player. I don't think he even looks in shape. add that to his facebook embarrassment and I'm not too fussed if it means we get someone else in the january sales. MM was pretty clear what he thought about Paton's role in St Mirren's 90th winning goal which would have been our only point in the last 6 games! presumably Paton has not won favour back since then. Quote
dave_min Posted December 1, 2010 Report Posted December 1, 2010 Is this the same Paton who's been punted on loan before, scored some goals and wants to fight for his place in the Dons team instead of being punted out again? Also the Paton who when given some playing time scored a very classy goal at Ibrox? Yeah, lets ship him out. Waste of a wage him. Can't believe he wasn't taken out and shot for not single handedly beating St. Mirren. The cunt. Quote

Madbadteacher Posted December 1, 2010 Report Posted December 1, 2010 Maybe on his way back now? Quote
Sandaldinho Posted December 1, 2010 Report Posted December 1, 2010 hopefully! i think, given a run of games, is one of the players who could really turn our season around Quote
mizer Posted December 27, 2010 Report Posted December 27, 2010 Has anymore been heard on this? Is it still on or is he back in from the cold? Quote
Aberdeen_Ladette Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 Has anymore been heard on this? Is it still on or is he back in from the cold? He was listed as being on the bench yesterday Quote
