stoney Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 Think the position Calderwood left us in was 4th. Sorry forgot he managed to defend the top six trophy before he left Quote
dave_min Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 Sorry forgot he managed to defend the top six trophy before he left You don't actually get a trophy for finishing in the top 6. Quote
Superstar Tradesman Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 McGhee wouldn't know much about that. Quote

TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 Did BBC sportsound not have one made up? They did have some sort of trophy made up but it was a trophy Calderwood never stood a chance of winning and one McGhee has had a bash at and looks like trying for again. It was for "winning" the bottom six. Quote

CtS Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 I suppose the huns would tell us to go fuck ourselves if we asked for this deal to be reversed? Foster still warming their bench, Velicka still looking a million miles from being the signing we hoped he'd be. Got to be one of the worst bits of business the club has done for years. Edit, just re-read the thread and it's the 3rd time I've made such a post. Almost nine weeks since he signed - people get back to full fitness after breaking bones quicker than that! Pished aff, there's a hole in our team the size of Ricky Foster. Quote
mizer Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 After 75mins of football Maguire was looking far fresher and was faster than Velicka who replaced him. Quote

Pished aff, there's a hole in our team the size of Ricky Foster. Bringing back Ricky Foster isn't really going to help that much imo. The best solution all round would be to punt McGhee. If he gets much longer in the job I fear we'll be back to where we were pre Calderwood. The majority of performances since McGhee took over have been unacceptable. Quote

RDU_64 Posted November 5, 2010 Report Posted November 5, 2010 In the grand scheme of things, this deal must be up there with the Dodds/Winters swap. Quote
Kowalski Posted November 5, 2010 Report Posted November 5, 2010 It's beginning to make the Dodds/Winters swap look like a good deal. Quote
tlg1903 Posted November 5, 2010 Report Posted November 5, 2010 I think it's not even comparable, winters not only actually played for us but he wasn't to bad a player for us Quote
