Kowalski Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 Pretty sparse crowd by for a game against one of the Infirm. Quote
Kowalski Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 1-0! Great finish from Vernon! Quote
Kowalski Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 2-1. Stonewall penalty to the Huns. Quote
Kowalski Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 Diamond and Ifil have been utterly terrible today. Whole defence looks like a shambles. Playing Ifil at right back is clearly not working. Quote
glasgowdon Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 Weiss went down before the tackle was made right enough. Quote
manc_don Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 We were shite in defence today. Shame, but i thought we played ok. Just conceded at the wrong times. Maguire played alright today. Quote
Graeme_S Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 Diamond was shocking today. maguire can thank him for his red card. thought maguire himself had a decent enough game. McArdle also made a decent attempt at keeping Weiss quiet. 3rd goal was a sickener to lose. came from a sh*t kickout by Langfield and we were caught sleeping. Did we intentionally sit back at the start of the 2nd half? if so it was a ridiculous tactic. 1st half we pressured their possession. 2nd half they did it to us, and then when they had we let them come at us which was always gonna end with a huns goal. Quote
Mentorred Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 Just a pity they scored so soon after our second, going in 2-0 at ht would have changed the game completely. Quote

Totally agree Playing Ifil at right back is clearly not working. I had other things going on while the game was on but was McArdle not at right back? Quote
Mentorred Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 Totally agree I had other things going on while the game was on but was McArdle not at right back? Said on the BBC website he was playing in Hartley's position. I only saw the 1st half and was doing other things while it was on so was not really paying attention to formation and positions. Quote

I did think in the second half that it looked as though Ifill was at right back but i just presumed that was his shite positioning Quote
Kowalski Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 I think McArdle was right mid. Quote
Stewart Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 I think McArdle was right mid. Looked like it to me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bqx7MA951o Quote
Mentorred Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 Bet he was not even booked for intent. Scum of the highest order. Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 I think McArdle was right mid. Aye true enough mate. Was Ifil not just right side of the three?* *this is the problem of having friends round for the game who insist on talking throughout Quote
Kowalski Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 Aye true enough mate. Was Ifil not just right side of the three?* *this is the problem of having friends round for the game who insist on talking throughout As far as I could tell it was a back 4 of Ifil, Diamond, Whatshisface and Considine. mizer Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 As far as I could tell it was a back 4 of Ifil, Diamond, Whatshisface and Considine. It seemed that way but fuck knows what was going on at the end as Mackie was at LB and Folly was sitting in the D. Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 As far as I could tell it was a back 4 of Ifil, Diamond, Whatshisface and Considine. Aye. I'm a pure spastic to be honest. Quote
Edinburghdon Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 I was sickened that we seemed to hold our own in the first half but came out after the break and sat in and basically let rangers attack. If McGhee can't see that playing like that is too dangerous with our shambles of a defence then I fear a that wont be the last time we throw away a 2 goal lead. Quote
Stewart Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 Was good to see Hartley on the bench today. Not too sure if it's because McGhee was banned or not, but I'm sure it will have helped the players with him so close even though he's injured. http://www.afc.co.uk/javaImages/13/7c/0,,10284~9075731,00.jpg[/img] Looks the part as well. TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 Diamond was a disgrace at times today, total lack of composure and awareness. The man has moved not an inch in the last 2 or 3 years. Ifil was also pretty appalling. The defence as a whole was thoroughly unconvincing and Ifil is now costing us goals every game, drop him. Diamond? Needs to fucking step up, he is not very good and I would not give a shiny shite if he left based on current form. Folly, I like him. Pretty swamped and offered little help by the others in the middle. Vernon and Maguire had very good shifts and I like Vernon, a motivated Miller. Can someone, anyone, explain how Naismith stayed on the pitch and Lee McCulloch, a fucking disgraceful player, ably assisted by the utter cunts that are Kenny Miller and McGregor. Hateful hateful people. 2 up and we fucked it up pretty much a decent synopsis of the match. ps I continue to be impressed by Hartley's contribution, a proper captain it seems. Quote

I only saw the 2nd half today but wasn't overly impressed with Diamond - guy I know who is his neighbour and is pretty friendly with him told me a couple of weeks ago that he is leaving at the end of the season - at this rate I can't see anyone being sad to see him go Quote
