BobbyBiscuit
Fucking disgusting that anyone on here is contemplating drinking anything containing Buckfast. Whatever happened to the good old days travelling to the game by train or car when all you needed was a case of cans and a half bottle. I mean buckfast guys FFS. Wait til the good old guys on the Hat who advocate the Republic of Aberdonia cotton on to that one. The people of Aberdonia may attempt to take the high ground on this Al, but why is it sold in Aberdeen if they're all so above it? And I know at least 3 Aberdonians who drink it, so it's not as if it's just for the incomers.

mizer
http://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/Article.aspx/1942032 ABERDEEN forward Peter Pawlett could be fit for Saturday’s SPL trip to Caley Thistle after recovering from a fractured toe. The 19-year-old had been playing with the aid of injections, but was forced out of the team, starting with the trip to Motherwell on September 18. But with Scotland under-21 international Chris Maguire suspended after his red card against Rangers on Sunday, the return of Pawlett, who missed six months of last season following knee surgery, would increase manager Mark McGhee’s options. Although loan-signing Andrius Velicka, from Rangers, has yet to feature because of a niggling ankle injury, there could be more good news for McGhee after the weekend. Winger Sone Aluko, so pivotal to his plans, will see a specialist in London on Monday. The Nigeria international has been in plaster cast for a fortnight in an attempt to cure an Achilles tendon injury. Aluko was restricted to just 15 starts last season and spent the majority of the campaign playing in pain or on the treatment table due to Achilles and groin problems. He had ankle surgery and a double hernia operation and suffered another setback when his Achilles injury flared up. McGhee hopes the specialist will allow the 21-year-old, who will be out of contract at the end of the season, to resume training. Fraser Fyvie is the only member of McGhee’s squad out for the long term with a cruciate ligament injury. Fingers crossed he is back

TENEMENTFUNSTER
Why has it taken two weeks for this? To cure it without surgery? Think this was on the advice of the same specialist.
Superstar Tradesman
Aberdeen forward? That's one hell of an oxymoron.
Jute
Good to see Velicka is not living up to his reputation of being continually injured.
Cowie
To cure it without surgery? Think this was on the advice of the same specialist. I read that as this is the 1st time he was seeing a specialist? Treatment without surgery is always the preferred option though - surgery would mean another 6/8 weeks at least on the sidelines? my bet is he'll be out till December. Guest leith_red
http://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/Article.aspx/1942032 Fingers crossed he is back And in the paper that comes from the same office.... YOANN Folly reckons teenager Ryan Jack can help boss the Aberdeen FC midfield at Inverness Caley Thistle tomorrow. The 18-year-old is in contention to start the SPL clash in the Highlands due to Aberdeen FC’s crippling injury list. Midfielders Paul Hartley, Fraser Fyvie, Sone Aluko and Peter Pawlett are all out injured. http://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/Article.aspx/1942507
TENEMENTFUNSTER
But the outside chance of Pawlett playing is more "newsworthy" than just confirming what we know is pretty likely ie that he will still be out.
