glasgow sheep Posted November 10, 2010 Author Report Posted November 10, 2010 a statement is to be made at 1pm by Duncan Fraser according to Northsound. As it's a statement rather than a press conference, I'd imagine that means he stays for at least Saturday's game. Well it is almost half one and can't see anything on the fishall site or anywhere else Quote
Rebus30 Posted November 10, 2010 Report Posted November 10, 2010 Did anyone local head down to see if he was taking training at 10am today? according to a post on the bbc 606 website: "Sorry to disappoint everyone but Dingus did in fact take training this morning and is now on his way to take in the gers v hibs game in preparation for saturday - this is 100 per cent accurate" Quote
tom_widdows Posted November 10, 2010 Report Posted November 10, 2010 Ok, fair enough, her secured the debt (which he arguably helped to create). So where is the evidence of progress? Its all fine and wel being a debt free entity, but is it acceptable to be debt free and playing in the first division? Anyone happen to know if we had any debt before milne turned up? or has this 9-10million millstone all been built up in the last 15 years? Quote
stoney Posted November 10, 2010 Report Posted November 10, 2010 The club were never in any debt until the completion of the Richard Donald stand in 1993. Quote
Jute Posted November 10, 2010 Report Posted November 10, 2010 If he was going to be sacked they would have done it by now. I would guess conference at 4pm is to announce that they still think he is the man to take us forward and the 9-0 and 17 wins out of 59 is all the fault of the west coast media and Henrik Larrson. baggy89 Posted November 10, 2010 Report Posted November 10, 2010 The club were never in any debt until the completion of the Richard Donald stand in 1993. Even then was it not only £1-2 million of debt from the RDS that gave the Milne the leverage to get on the board. Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted November 10, 2010 Report Posted November 10, 2010 Even then was it not only £1-2 million of debt from the RDS that gave the Milne the leverage to get on the board. aye, it wasn't the full amount of the cost of the RDS anyway. Quote
glasgow sheep Posted November 10, 2010 Author Report Posted November 10, 2010 I'm sure with added corporate facilities and non-match day functions the RDS has/is paying for itself. It was/is the crazy wages, signing on and transfer fees that put us in debt Quote
mizer Posted November 10, 2010 Report Posted November 10, 2010 Report on twitter that an AFC security official has got in McGhees car and driven it away Quote
stoney Posted November 10, 2010 Report Posted November 10, 2010 Did we not get some form of Grant to help with the building costs? Simple economics of spending more than you take in! We have made some horrific mistakes on the transfer markets over the years. Im Away to do some sums lol Quote
