If anyone is looking for a laugh Rangers Media has not crashed yet and is well worth a read if only to remind you why you hate the sub human cunts.

It seems now they have started caring that no one likes them

Green was frustrated by the developments but backed any future appeal. "Our group went into the purchase of the club with this sanction in place but we hoped the decision would at least be commuted," he said. "We fully support the club as it considers an appeal against this latest decision."[/quote]

Can you appeal an appeal ruling?  surely not

Several SPL chairmen - "Sporting integrity is important to us, and we would reject Rangers as a new company from the SPL, if only it weren't for the important revenue stream generated by their away support"

Rangers support - "If you let us into the SPL, we'll boycott away games".

Really, I'm sure that if you asked them, 'Irony' would just be what their clothes don't need to be when they go to collect their dole cheques.

;D:rofl:

Part of the decision commented that the ban doesn't stop them resigning players they already have and as they have 40+ professionals on their books their claim that they would struggle to get a team out was bollocks.

Hang on a minute 40+ players, and nobody has been sacked yet to save on cash?  Are D&P the administrative equivalent of Sir Minty?

Can't wait for the first over paid "star" to jump ship, only a matter of time till all but the scumiest 1st team players are left

Someone on the radio this morning suggested they would go down the road Sion went.

'I don't understand why people are surprised! Politics in Scotland, the judiciary in Scotland, the Press and the wider media in Scotland, the SFA, slowly but effectively the Police, the Banking and Insurance Industry, are all cleverly being taken over by a small minority where the one thing that they have in common is a hatred for rangers FC and the people that support them.

They are a minority, but the majority is just sitting back and watching it happen, or worse still are actively helping them as the recent results in the local elections have shown'

THURSDAY 17 MAY 2012 TEXT SIZE Fans' chief: Rangers must fight SFA ban to ends of the earth

Alison McConnell

Football Writer

RANGERS fans' chief Andy Kerr today urged the club to fight the legalities of the SFA's transfer embargo to the ends of the earth.

And in a stark warning, Kerr also insisted that the Ibrox support will mobilise themselves to ensure the ramifications of the ban will be felt by ALL SPL clubs.

Kerr said: "There is widespread anger among the Rangers fans, as you can well imagine. We will take a stand now."

Last night's decision by a three-man appeal body to uphold the original punishment of a 12-month transfer embargo on players over the age of 18 has been met by a furious response from the Rangers support and Kerr has warned that they will not take the decision lying down.

Rangers' administrators were today weighing up their options but look certain to take legal action against the SFA, possibly in civil courts or the Court or Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Switzerland.

Several first-team stars have cut-price get-out clauses in their contracts after agreeing to wage cuts and, should they activate them and leave, Gers would be unable to sign replacements. Already, Everton are eyeing a swoop for Steven Naismith, who has a £2million trigger release.

The Rangers Supporters' Assembly will now:

*Lobby the club to withdraw from the Scottish Cup next season.

*Plan to boycott all away games.

*Put pressure on sponsors.

*Call for Rangers players to withdraw from the Scotland squad to face the USA in Florida later this month.

Kerr added: "We feel that while our circumstances are unique, they are not exceptional, yet the SFA seem to be focused on making some kind of an example here.

"There have been other clubs this season who have not been able to pay the wages of their players, yet there has been very little in the way of punishments handed out for that. Ultimately, we have to do what we think is the best course of action now.

"We met when the SFA first announced the transfer embargo and had preliminary discussions about what to do. But at the time we felt we were jumping into it too quickly, and we wanted to wait and see whether or not common sense would surface at an appeal.

"That hasn't been the case and the club need to take this fight all the way. They have to challenge this tooth and nail.

"The body of opinion is definitely behind taking the players out of the national team, although personally I would have to say that I am cautious about pushing for such a thing because it isn't particularly fair that the international career of a player is hampered because of this situation.

"But at the same time, if Allan McGregor or Lee Wallace or Steven Whittaker get injured when they are playing for Scotland, how do we replace them?"

Kerr also believes that the whole of Scottish football will be punished because of the embargo.

He added: "When Rangers signed Steven Naismith from Kilmarnock, the sale went a long way to ensuring that the Rugby Park club did not go into administration.

"There are lots of players in the SPL that I am sure Rangers will have been looking at, and the bottom line is that buying these guys from other Scottish clubs benefits the game.

"If you take that out for a year then I am sure there will be one or two clubs who will feel it.

"The Rangers support need to do everything within their power to make a stand now.

"We are bitterly disappointed at the decision to uphold the embargo ... but it is not finished yet."

It still amazes, angers and amuses me all at the same time just how these people think they should be above punishment. Or even that they just didn't do anything wrong and that these punishments being handed down are purely because they're disliked. They feel the need to try and "punish" other clubs by boycotting.

A reply on Rangers Media to someone who said they should drop down to the 3rd div to take the money away from the SPL.

They would only suffer for three seasons and then its back to where we are now, leaving the spl would punish every team in it and the ones who should be hurt the most(dundee utd, aberdeen and hibs) would still be there as it's the smaller teams who would suffer the most(ict and falkirk), plus how do we manage running costs on a div 3 income?? and when the time comes when we get back in the spl where does the money come from to build a title winning squad??i think going to div 3 would be a huge waste of time and would only serve to hand the taigs 3 easy titles, boycotting away days would punish clubs financially and plus in 2 seasons we can look forward to european football at ibrox again and not arbroath away

RST Reaction to SFA Appeal Rejection

Thursday, 17 May 2012 16:43

The RST board is astounded the SFA have rejected the Rangers appeal. The SFA appear committed to killing off competition in Scottish Football. It is obvious others in the game wish Rangers to remain in the SPL and Scottish Cup but at an uncompetitive level due to the unprecedented transfer embargo.

Craig Whyte is solely responsible for bringing the game into disrepute, as recognised by the SFA’s initial findings, and there is no evidence any other directors at Rangers Football Club had knowledge of the withholding of PAYE and NI contributions. This is the sole reason our club is being punished with the transfer embargo.

Rangers fans decided on 28th April, that the Rangers Fans Fighting Fund (RFFF) committee would decide on any protests and sanctions from the Rangers support. We are represented on the RFFF committee and will be lobbying for the strictest possible sanctions against clubs, sponsors and SFA competitions. As we have already seen with action against William Hill this can prove to be extremely effective.

We will update our members with further information as soon as possible.
