Kowalski Posted January 19, 2015 Report Posted January 19, 2015 Looks like Sevco are going to try and avoid Dave King's EGM, citing the fact he's not fit and proper to be a board member (although that hasn't stopped many others!). Crucial time for them, sounds like they may be forced to go with Ashley's loan, giving him security over Ibrox and Murray Park. They will be rioting on the streets!!! Still no word on a film getting made about all this! Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted January 19, 2015 Report Posted January 19, 2015 Fuck off Wally you cunt! Why would he take a step down? Typical weegie press non-story In the sense that he was asked if he could do the job and he said yes, following that immediately with being complimentary about our club. Quote
Edinburghdon Posted January 19, 2015 Report Posted January 19, 2015 It just gets better! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30890967 Kenny McDowall has tendered his resignation as caretaker manager of Rangers for "personal reasons". The club say he will serve a 12-month notice period under the terms of his contract, as his predecessor Ally McCoist intended to. And a statement from Ibrox said the 51-year-old will "remain 100% committed to his normal duties". McDowall stepped up from his assistant's role when McCoist was placed on garden leave last month. More to follow. Quote
manc_don Posted January 19, 2015 Report Posted January 19, 2015 Excellent news, they do know Christmas is long gone right? Keep on giving presents! The Rangers, keeping Scotland amused since 2012. Quote

tlg1903 Posted January 19, 2015 Report Posted January 19, 2015 Lay any money the press try and link DM to the job. Quote
Jute Posted January 20, 2015 Report Posted January 20, 2015 Allegedly MCDowell like Fat Sally before him gets a pay increase for resigning. My money would be on Gordon Durie to be next caretaker. Quote
Kowalski Posted January 20, 2015 Report Posted January 20, 2015 Seemingly McDowalls daughter may be seriously ill. Anyway I've already seen some orcs call for McInnes but others have shot them down. There is no chance of that happening. Quote

manc_don Posted January 27, 2015 Report Posted January 27, 2015 Has just been confirmed they've accepted a £10 million loan from Ashley with immediate effect as working capital. Edit: £5 million as working capital and £3million being used to pay back a loan from another ashley owned company Quote
Jute Posted January 27, 2015 Report Posted January 27, 2015 Has just been confirmed they've accepted a £10 million loan from Ashley with immediate effect as working capital. Edit: £5 million as working capital and £3million being used to pay back a loan from another ashley owned company Loan secured against all club assets except Ibrox. Loan is coming from Sports Direct so suspect this is how SFA will get out of punishing Tribute Act for Ashley breaking dual interest rule. Quote
Tyrant Posted January 27, 2015 Report Posted January 27, 2015 Not that I was in the habit of shopping at Sports Direct but this confirms that I can never go back. Quote

Nellie The Don Posted January 30, 2015 Report Posted January 30, 2015 Rumour circulating the hooded hordes haven't sold out their 21,000 allocation for Sunday. Supposedly 15,000 tickets told with less than 48hrs to go I bet that if they win they'll still be allocated more than 50% for the final, though. Quote
Edinburghdon Posted February 5, 2015 Report Posted February 5, 2015 It just gets better... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31145792 Rangers manager Kenny McDowall claims he has been told by the club that the five loan signings made from Newcastle must be in his starting XI if fit. Midfielders Gael Bigirimana and Haris Vuckic, defenders Kevin Mbabu and Remie Streete and left-sided Northern Ireland cap Shane Ferguson joined on Monday. McDowall says he has been told by chief executive Derek Llambias and football board chairman Sandy Easdale that the quintet must start every game. Rangers play Raith Rovers on Sunday. The Scottish Cup fifth-round match at Ibrox, which will be shown live on BBC One Scotland, is a break from the Championship for Rangers where they trail Hearts by 16 points in the race for the title and the automatic promotion place that comes with it. McDowall, who took over from Ally McCoist on 19 January when he was placed on gardening leave, recently handed in his notice to resign, just as McCoist had. He is now working a 12-month notice period. More to follow. Quote
