You ought to stop buying that 'newspaper'.

This story of theirs is obviously, and demonstrably total nonsense, written only to sell printed toilet paper to lobotmised (ex) hun monkeys.

Absolutely nothing to do with journalism whatsoever.

Even if the SFL board had agreed some deal, they still require the consent of at least 22 member clubs. At least 3 have already publicly said 'no'.

'Done deal' my sweaty arse.  Cheer up and stop propogating this drivel.

BBC running with the same story now.

In reality, tomorrow when Sevco meet with the SFA to show paperwork to become a member club, the SFA should be saying you have 3 players on your books so far, that does not prove that you can field a full strength team thought the season, come back next year.

stv suggesting it I was correct in presuming this is just cockwomble pissing in the wind, but he also head help from Reagan and Longmuir.  These three will hopefully be told to get tae fuck once the clubs have stopped laughing at their proposals:

STV understands clubs have received a letter from Scottish FA chief executive Stewart Regan, following talks with his SPL and SFL counterparts Neil Doncaster and David Longmuir respectively.

It's still nonsense, for the reasons stated above.

Absolutely. As I said above, the taking on of the debt of the oldco makes it a non-starter. Why would anyone at the helm of a newco agree to take on potentially +£90m worth of debt just so they're in the Scottish First Division? It's not going to happen even if the clubs all voted for it, which they won't.

Is it not just the 'football Debt', i.e bills to other clubs? Plus Fines etc?

Edit: Not that that makes it anymore likely to happen!

You think that is going to stand up in a court of law? HMRC will pursue them the second they pay a debt relating to the Oldco.  The SFA sets the rule with regard football debt because that's all they have jurisdiction over, other creditors will pounce as soon as that happens, and rightly so.

The SPL couldn't even sell Sevco to their own members, who actually had something to lose by rejecting them.  There isn't a single SFL club that has anything to gain by putting them in Div 1 instead of 3.

They have no chance of winning a vote.

None.

Relax.

So lets put this into perspective then.

Huns announce that they wish to fight with all parties against them and then think that we should all support any move to bend change the rules for their assistance.

To me that is it in a nutshell.

Corruption, bullying cheating and serious lack of integrity is alive and well in Scottish football, but then again I guess this is not something that everyone of us haven't known for some considerable time.

My initial euphoria of fair play coming into it with our club and others standing up to them has well and truely evaporated My feelings towards Scottish football are swinging back into the no longer give a fuck as it is patently clear the Huns will not pay the same price for their crimes as any other club other than the other cheek of the same arse would have to do

No much wonder my colleagues south of the border are pishing themselves laughing at this carry on.

If any proposal to put Sevco into division 1 was actually put to the SFL clubs, I could see it getting kicked out by a 30-0 vote.

Division 1 clubs would all be voting, in effect to turn their league from probably the most competative in the country, where as many as 7 of the 10 of them could conceivably challenge for promotion to the SPL, to the least competative.  Arguably they might see some financial gain from TV revenue from Sevco games, but they would get this somewhere down the line anyway when (and if) Sevco work their way back through the ranks into division 1.

Division 2 and 3 clubs would be voting against having at least 2 very large gates in at least one season each.  On top of this, one club in each division would be voting against their own promotion into the division above.

The idea is a complete non-starter.

All that Longmuir, Regan and Cockwomble can achieve by suggesting it is to:

a) buy Sevco some time to put a team together for a div 3 entry bid, which if they had to submit right now they would be in danger of losing to a team who can field a team and produce audited accounts and business models (probably the actual reason behind the proposal, IMO)

and b) make their positions within their respective bodies (even more) untenable when their members turn around and tell them to ram it.

This.

In a nutshell it's gerrymandering of the most obvious order.

People are still presuming there is going to be a Rangers entity next season.  There may well be but I'd be amazed if there was.  Little over a month away from the season starting and they don't have a squad which could attach itself to whoever the fuck owns the name or the stadium or the training ground... All of which has to get ironed out and that's before there are anymore claims to the assets.

Would anyone actually be confident of this being in place in time not to mention signing new players, getting insurance, satisfying the ruling bodies that fit and proper persons are running it etc? Green doesn't give a fuck if there's a hun team in the SPL, Div1, Div3 or the Andorra Amateur Sunday League, he's there for the assets alone... the long term health of a football team calling itself Rangers or an equivalent matters not a jot to him.

And then there's the x amount of court cases, tribunals and appeals to be settled.

Just stop the charade and put them out their misery and let us get on with supporting our team and let the likes of Dundee know where they stand; a new huns competing in senior Scottish football in 2012/13 just isn't likely to happen no matter how much chest thumping John Brown does.

If it wasn't for the huns attitude (support and corporate) this could have been sorted weeks ago.  Instead the interminable delays, votes, deals no one will support and posturing from Bomber Brown and his band of lunatics means that as BB says we must be fast approaching the stage where they won't have a team at all.  The SFA, SFL and SPL need to stop farting around as we need somebody coming into the 3rd div to make up the numbers and if it isn't Seveco then it's going to be unfair on which ever league the new club comes from to lose a prominent member a matter of days before their season starts.

If these proposals are put through the game is dead and for that reason they won't see the light of day.  Perhaps in 5yrs once we get league reconstruction and a pyramid structure Govan United 2012 can try and make there way from West Region Central District Division 2 up into the bright lights of the SFL.

Correct.

The only scenario I can see is Rangers having to form some kind of amateur organisation (!) to be able to compete in Division 3 until they iron out whatever problems they have, or else form a buy-out of an existing SFL club just as Airdrie Utd did.  People shouldn't underestimate the amount of infrastructure required to field a team in the SFL.  I'm inclined to agree with Nellie here, seems to be much posturing to try and appease the huns rather than there actually being any real chance of them getting into Div 1.  They may have started their pre-season training but at this moment in time, until they can prove the true nature of their affairs to everyone, they have as much infrastructure in place as Yerma's Athletic in the Strikers Sunday Night League.

Here is the statement given to all SFL clubs

The proposal to SFL clubs, titled "Your Game, Your Club, Your Future

WHY DOES RESISTANCE TO CHANGE IN FOOTBALL EXIST?

•Fear of the unknown

•Lack of involvement

•Lack of information

•Threat to power, or status

•No perceived benefits

•Fear of failure

•Unless behaviour changes, nothing changes

UNDERSTANDING RESISTANCE TO CHANGE

•Perceptions of being “worse off”

•If the reasons for change are not clear

•If implementation plans are not clear

•If there is no clear “link” with your own objectives

•If a change is seen as a threat to your long term security or well being

WE THEREFORE NEED SOME CLEAR COMMUNICATION PRIORITIES FOR THE SFL

•Logical and positive communication to eliminate doubt, threat and insecurity

•Fully explained in terms of short and long term benefits to you and the organisation

•Not left to the last minute

•Involving you at an early stage

•And seen in the context of a wider strategic plan

CURRENT REALITY

•Rangers have no where to go

•SPL Clubs have indicated their voting intentions

•SFA wish to see a solution in the interests of the game

•Moral/sporting question vs financial collapse

•Are The SFL are in a position to accommodate a solution?

WE HAVE CONSIDERED FIVE SCENARIOS

1.Rangers stay in SPL

2.Rangers to Third Division

3.Rangers to First Division

4.Rangers to SPL2

5.Rangers terminated or suspended

1. RANGERS STAY IN SPL

•Not an option

•SPL clubs have indicated no

2. RANGERS TO THIRD DIVISION

•Takes approximately £16 million out of the game

•Commercial partners walk away and seek compensation

•The settlement agreement becomes a major risk

•The sporting opportunity is quashed for other clubs

3. RANGERS TO FIRST DIVISION

•Reduces SPL income by approximately 30%

•Balances short term need for redemption with a least worst case financial scenario

•It is financially possible to recover from this scenario

4. RANGERS TO SPL2

•Currently not supported by the SFA

•Creates a bigger divide

•Leads to some short term commercial losses

•A legal challenge could paralyse the game

•The overall pot would be much less than anticipated

5. RANGERS TERMINATED OR SUSPENDED

•Complete financial meltdown

•Settlement agreement is obliterated

•Fans are lost to the game forever

•The game survives but where?

WE HAVE CONSIDERED THE FIVE SCENARIOS 1 Rangers stay in SPL 2 Rangers to Third Division 3 Rangers to First Division 4 Rangers to SPL2 5 Rangers terminated or suspended

**SO WHAT EXACTLY ARE WE BEING ASKED TO CONSIDER? **

•Rangers in the IRN-BRU First Division this coming season

•A one off fee to buy out the Rangers media value. (£1million) thus protecting the current contracts in place.

IF WE AGREE THEN WE REQUIRE THE FOLLOWING

•Play-Offs immediately, based on current format

•A new distribution model with the settlement agreement value protected and future proofed

•An amalgamation of the SPL & SFL

•A more balanced governance model (as circulated)

IF WE AGREE THEN WE REQUIRE THE FOLLOWING

•Play-Offs immediately, based on our format

•A new distribution model with the settlement agreement value protected and future proofed

•An amalgamation of the SPL & SFL

•A more balanced governance model (as circulated)

WHICH WILL DELIVER BENEFITS TO THE SCOTTISH FOOTBALL LEAGUE

•Immediate cash benefit for all 30 clubs!

•Gate receipt uplift in Division 1

•Potential hospitality & advertising values increase

•Sponsors receive added value through additional exposure

•Scottish Government remain committed to our community strategy

•SFL has more influence at the top table

•Play-Offs restore the sporting meritocracy and deliver additional value

AND BENEFITS TO SCOTTISH FOOTBALL

•A unified plan presented to the Scottish footballing public which offers real possibilities for the game

•Keeps all 42 clubs together avoiding a divisive SPL2 split

•Deals with the need for sporting integrity with regard to Newco

•Delivers innovation in the form of a single league, Play-Offs and a pyramid plan

•Delivers new value for the game

•Potentially narrows the financial gap between Scottish Premier League & Scottish League

•Shows leadership for the game in Scotland

•Allows fans to engage in the bigger picture

•A positive media outcome

Please note the plans for division 1 and division 3.... notice 3 means fans are lost forever, what rangers fans? what about all the other fans in other clubs if

option for Div 1 is used?

fucking unbelievable and stinks of pure filth that the SFA would even threaten clubs to accept this farce

undisguised propaganda. i beg that the chairmen of all clubs stand up to this intimidation.
