I may be wrong but is today the deadline for King to pay the £11 million share issue ordered by the court. No idea what happens if he fails to pay up.

Also today the SFA are to hand UEFA the list of teams playing in Europe next year. What chance Sevco not on said list.

I'd say that the chances of SEVCO being denied the opportunity to fail in europe are slim, but, if there is a chance that the SFA are going to remove them from the list then it may explain Kings rants about wanting folk suspended from the SPFL board.

He'd somehow link the 2 into being some kind petty revenge, thus ensuring the huns chip on the shoulders get even bigger.

Seen on Twitter:

Steven Gerrard is still studying for his UEFA Pro Licence... and he will complete it this time next year.... But you need a Pro licence to manage longer than 12 weeks in any European nations top flight and in the champions league as well as Europa League.

He received some abuse from Sevco supporters to dare even mentioning it . It seems likely his No2 will be in charge of their European campaign.

On a lighter note Lee Wallace and former team-mate Kenny Miller are taking legal advice over the fines imposed on them this week by the Ibrox club.  :rofl2:

Had to have a wee chuckle reading this, even though probably a load of shit

Dave King in new court proceedings over failure to make £11m Rangers shares bid. Regulators

have brought fresh legal action over the failure by Rangers chairman Dave King to make a judge-ordered £11 million bid for most of the club’s shares.

How on earth does King keep evading these issues and never gets his comeuppance

No legal expert but the case will be subject to Civil Law rather than Criminal Law so there is no real prospect of him being arrested unless he is subsequently shown to be participating in a fraud. And if that was even looking remotely possible there is no way he would risk leaving his South African bolthole.

The recent resignation of sevco board members is an indication that King is rapidly losing the support and confidence of his fellow boardroom colleagues. Sevco are disappearing down the gurgler like their dead predecessors. Fuck them and all who sail in the newco sinking ship.

The Rangers will tomorrow lock horns with the Scottish FA over charges of disciplinary breaches dating back eight seasons. The allegations stretch back to seasons 2010-11 and 2011-12 and concern the granting of a UEFA licence to the Ibrox club.

A hearing has been scheduled for tomorrow to decide the case of two charges of Rangers breaching SFA articles of association and disciplinary rules.

The Govan club were scathing in their reaction to the notice of complaint last month, questioning ‘whether the time, cost and expense’ of the SFA’s investigation into the long-running issue ‘was justified and was a good use of the SFA’s limited resources’.

Law of averages dictate that Sevco must lose this one.

Talking about Sevco where on earth did they get the £6 Million to buy new players from

Steven Gerrard says he gave Rangers' players a few extra days holiday to help them recover emotionally from a traumatic season.Gerrard took over after a campaign in which the Ibrox club finished third and dispensed with two managers.

"They have been battered from pillar to post and been criticised really heavily," the manager told Rangers TV.

"It was a tough season mentally with the players, so we wanted to give them extra time off with their families."

Really,who exactly battered them.

It certainly was NOT the Scottish Football Media that's for sure.

Fucking more "there's only 2 teams in Scotland" pish from the BBC and Brian(why are you so good)Laudrup

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/44658999

Umm, lost a cup final to Hibs (of all teams) and have never finished above Aberdeen, but it's all Sevco and raSellik?

Appalling "journalism" aimed at the lowest common denominator.

Except for the bit about finishing 3rd twice?

I’m not sure what’s wrong with the article. It’s an interview with Laudrup, not journalism as such.

The feud between Dave King and the Takeover Panel has escalated, with a decision of its hearings committee indicating that contempt proceedings have been raised against Rangers' chairman.

In December, the Court of Session ordered King to make an offer to Rangers shareholders of 20p a share.

King failed in an appeal against that decision and also failed to persuade the Takeover Panel to allow him more time to make the offer.

Now, as the panel announced it was refusing to convene its hearings committee to review that last decision, it appears King could face more serious issues.

Within the statement published today, the Panel says: "The executive went on to refer to an email of the previous day in which it had stated its intention to initiate contempt proceedings were Mr King to fail to procure the publication of an offer in accordance with the code within the time stipulated.

"It stated that, in the circumstances, it would initiate contempt proceedings in the Court of Session on 27 April 2018 if, by midnight on 26 April 2018, Mr King had failed to publish a code compliant offer.

"In the event, process in the contempt proceedings appears to have been served on Mr King in South Africa on 8 June 2018."

King had stated previously that the delay was a result of the Takeover Panel requiring funds of around £11m to be held in a UK account rather than South Africa, where he is resident.

But the Takeover Panel suggests there was a lack of clarity over his attempts to move the funds.

"On 11 April 2018 the (Takeover Panel) Executive had suggested to Mr King that he instruct Investec to open a UK sterling account on Laird's behalf with a view to Investec providing the necessary cash confirmation," the statement adds.

Laird is a company owned by a trust of which King and his family are the beneficiaries.

The statement continues: "As regards Mr King's offer to instruct Investec if his request for an extension were granted, the Executive pointed out that in a telephone conversation of 11 April 2018 he had undertaken to start the process of engaging Investec on that same day, but no evidence had been forthcoming that Investec had been instructed to seek the necessary exchange control approvals and give the requisite cash confirmation."

It adds that the apparent serving of contempt of court proceedings "seems to have prompted Mr King's request of 11 June 2018 to have the Committee convened for a review of the Executive's refusal to agree an extension of time.

"In the meantime, Mr King had produced no evidence to show that he had instructed Investec to seek the necessary exchange control consents or to confirm its willingness to receive the consideration monies into a UK account with a view to giving the requisite cash confirmation.

"It is noteworthy that, in his submissions of 18 June 2018 Mr King does not maintain that he has now instructed Investec to do this."

Been listening to a radio series called 'the corrupted' which is about a guy reminiscing about his life from childhood to the present while he serves 3 life sentences for a crime he didnt commit.

The likes of King would seem to fit right in with the characters in that series

Sports Direct have the right to match any deal that Sevco negotiate with any retailer to sell their strips. Sevco went ahead and signed a deal with someone else (unnamed) and SD have now got an interdict to stop them doing so. No strips shall be sold till it's sorted out.

The wage bill for all the signings that Sevco have made must be massive.  Lost count on how many new players have joined this season and more on the way (allegedly). Will be interesting to see what happens when all this new found money runs out.

If Aberdeen can secure second spot this season it would be quite an achievement.
