Milne has won. The "unrealistic expectations" propaganda has worked.

Fergie would never have thought like this. The losers are plenty, winners are few.

A year before Fergie left, Dundee Utd beat Barcelona twice which shows how mental things were back then.

Undoubtedly he was a managerial genius but even Fergie would not have won us the league in the last 25 years.

It's great to have a winning mentality but Lencarl is right that finishing above the huns would be a good achievement considering the financial disparity.

Pretty certain that a younger Ferguson would've stopped Deila. For one reason and one reason only; he would've recruited footballers with the right mentality, the hunger to win and the desire to work harder and smarter than the average bear.

It's not "great to have a winning mentality". It's non-negotiably essential to have one, if the goal is to win, which it hasn't been for AFC since deep into the last century.

Where you hearing that? Would be amusing considering he’s never achieved his dream of playing a European game under the floodlights at ibrox.  ::)

Cunt

Unashamedly lifted from the Hat. Supposedly his missus has been telling everyone

Sevco bosses have been banned from selling their new Hummel kit after a judge told them NOT to sign a new deal when it comes to flogging merchandise.

The club are now preparing for a pre-season High Court battle with Sports Direct and Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley.

King in court on Contempt charges on Friday, according to the Herald:

"Rangers chairman Dave King is to face court-ordered contempt proceedings over a failure to make a judge-ordered £11 million bid for most of the club's shares.

It has been confirmed that the Mr King will face a contempt of court hearing at the Court of Session on Friday having failed to comply with a court order to make an offer to Rangers shareholders in March."

Let's see if he turns up or stays at home

Allegedly have had supporters attacked in Greece en route to tonight's match and had flags stolen.

Personally I'd forgotten they were even playing tonight as one of the diddy teams in 1st qualifying round matches.

Nice to see them get a bit of their own medicine.

Another Statement from Dave King:

I am also still dealing with the Takeover Panel (“TP”) following complaints by the old board and supporters of other clubs to hold me personally liable to make an offer for all the non-consortium shares of RIFC. This follows similar efforts to deny me fit and proper status with the SFA. Certain individuals believe that if they can disrupt the current boardthe recovery in Rangers fortunes over the last three years might be reversed. It is noteworthy that the SFA have still not approved Alastair Johnston’s fit and proper status despite his impeccable record as a businessman and as a protector of our Club during its darkest moments.

See more of this always the victim statement here https://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/dave-king-supporter-update/  :violin:

Another quote from the above Statement

My fellow directors and I have all had to endure personal attacks and we all spend far more time dealing with Rangers interests than any of us truly expected. But we did it willingly and continue to do so for no financial gain. Those that wished our Club to fail have failed themselves and we will continue to progress despite inevitable set-backs that will come our way from time to time.

It's taken a long time for the Court of Session to force the Rangers chairman Dave King to comply with company law. He's strung along the Takeover Panel and the Court. But he may soon face an unpleasant combination of a cold shoulder, hot water and porridge.

How on earth has this person not been brought to task. He has this uncanny way of avoiding justice. This article shows his true colours. Well done to Douglas Fraser Business/economy editor, Scotland

So.  Before the season starts what are your predictions for Gerrards lifespan at the tribute act.  Theres a lot of goodwill toward him from the fans but that won't last long if they have a few dodgy results.  Even still I would think King will give him time even if they are 5th come xmas given how much they waged on him.

Personally I think he will be gone in about 20 months time after never beating Celtic in the league.

Unfortunately I think he will do well. Even though he has zero management experience and will be learning on the job, he's a winner. Plus the pool he's learning in is a very weak one.

Souness had zero management experience when he joined the long-dead incarnation that hail from that locale but I think the bad karma of the current balance sheet and the corrupt tink nature of the present custodians will help our cause. Not that the previous incumbents were less corrupt and tink-like. That legless Murray cunt was an opportunist arsehole.

Gone by mid Feb/mid March

Beaten 3 times by the Dhims by then, 12-15 points behind in the league and with either us or Hivs (probably Hivs sadly) within 5 points either way of them. Will spend more money than they have yet again in January but will make no obvious improvement to the team. Orc hordes will turn against him and he will walk before he is pushed.

I firmly believe that Sevco will go bust this season after this signing spree they have embarked on to try and reach the group stages of Europe and win the Premiership title.

So Gerrard will be back on BT Sport as a pundit in around 4 months time
