Yeovil's Stefan Stam is set to depart the club, and he looks set for a move to Scotland, skysports.com understands.

Stam joined the Glovers in 2009 from Oldham Athletic, penning a two-year deal at Huish Park.

He figured prominently following his move and was a regular in his first season, but this term he has fallen out of favour with boss Terry Skiverton.

Now he has been told he can leave the club for free, and he looks set to depart Huish Park in the near future.

Skysports.com understands that both Aberdeen and St Johnstone are keen on taking the 31-year-old.

Sounds rubbish, injury prone and a trouble maker...

Yeovil boss Terry Skiverton has insisted that defender Stefan Stam will never play for the club again while he is in charge of team affairs.

Stam has been placed on the transfer list at Huish Park following an injury-plagued 18 months which have seen him make just 23 appearances.

The Dutchman was on the bench for the New Years Day draw at Plymouth but Skiverton told the BBC: "Stefan Stam has got to find first team football elsewhere.

"As long as I am here, even if we are ravaged with injuries, he will no longer be selected in my squads."

Also someone on facebook is saying Broon had Quido Lanzaat on trial at well, so might be bringing him here...
