Ptayles Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 It wouldnt surprise me If we were paying Velicka's wage and the huns paying Fosters Quote
Cowie Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 This thread's pish - Brown and Knox just need to get Foster back ASAP and send Velicka on his merry way. End of. This. Of those two players, Foster is a far greater asset to the club. Velicka can fuck off. Quote
Harcus Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 ON HIS WAY: Aberdeen FC have asked Rangers to sort out a transfer for Andrius Velicka. More Pictures ANDRIUS Velicka has been told he is no longer wanted at Aberdeen FC. The 31-year-old had been signed on loan from Rangers until the summer. But Aberdeen FC have asked the Gers to sort out a transfer for Velicka this month. Read more: http://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/Article.aspx/2105943#ixzz1C2oHDIRf That's all that's on the website. Anyone got any more details? Quote
manc_don Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 Good. Get him the fuck away from our club. Hopefully this gets sorted. Quote
Tyrant Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 How does it help us though? Unless we get Foster back? Quote
manc_don Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 How does it help us though? Unless we get Foster back? We're no worse having him out of the club. I think the new management see him as a waste of space and possibly a threat to the squad morale? Just guessing mind. Quote
coopy100 Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 How does it help us though? Unless we get Foster back? Purely speculation here but it may mean the Huns, who may be doing it anyway, pay fosters wages allowing a loan deal to come in for us. It may also be that he is a right moaning faced prick who upsets the rest of the squad. Even if it is neither of these two I can't say I'll be sad to see him go. Quote
Jute Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 Good to hear as long as we are getting Foster back. Quote
BigAl Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 No loss, contribution has been the square root of fuck all Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 The guy was pretty uninterested and it showed, not exactly trying for a move and perhaps knows he won't get the kind of cash he's on at the huns. Such a poor move and if he is, as we all suspect, a total non-tryer, Brown is right to try and hunt the cunt. Quote
BigAl Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 Good to hear as long as we are getting Foster back. Would be astounded if that happened Quote
14Fosters Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 Would be astounded if that happened Aye, won't happen. Otherwise we could just tell Rangers to take Velicka back and we will get Foster. Both are season long agreed deals, and the only way we are getting rid is if Rangers manage to sell him on. Quote
Madbadteacher Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 It'll save wear and tear on the arse of a pair of shorts/trackie at least! Quote
Harcus Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 North Tonight reporting he's due to fly to Switzerland to speak to St Gallen on Thursday. Craig Broon also states it's in everyone's interests to move on, and may release funds to sign someone in a more pressing position. Whether that means we've been paying him since August I've no idea. Mentorred Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 North Tonight reporting he's due to fly to Switzerland to speak to St Gallen on Thursday. Craig Broon also states it's in everyone's interests to move on, and may release funds to sign someone in a more pressing position. Whether that means we've been paying him since August I've no idea. As someone on here said before, Maybe the club were paying for his hotel or where ever he was staying, plus you have the cost of his company car. Not sure if the club pay for gas or not but probably have to pay taxes on the car. Quote
Kowalski Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 Craig Broon also states it's in everyone's interests to move on, and may release funds to sign someone in a more pressing position. Here we go. I thought some were claiming it was a fact that he wasn't costing us anything! Quote

Madbadteacher Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 I thought that we'd already argued on here all facts are facts, unless proven otherwise by better* facts. FACT. * better = more controversial/idiotic Quote
The Oxford Don Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 Good riddance to at least one half of this insane piece of business. As Jute says, if we can magic our way out of the other 50% of this nonsense and get Dicky Aussielager back then so much the better, but by God this is a decent first step in the right direction. glasgow sheep Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 Andrius Velicka cash can boost bid for Kris Commons * 12307279 * Andrius Velicka Ian Black Share 26 Jan 2011 Andrius Velicka could hold the key to Rangers’ move for Derby star Kris Commons as he heads for the Ibrox exit door. The Lithuanian is in signing talks with Swiss side St Gallen over a possible transfer. The move could free up another £10,000 from the Gers’ wage bill and give them more room to maneouvre as they attempt to fend off interest from Celtic and agree a deal to bring Commons north in a £500,000 swoop. Velicka has struggled to make an impact since joining the champions in a £1million move from Viking Stavanger in 2008, with a series of serious injuries limiting his chances to impress. He was sent on loan to Aberdeen at the start of the season as part of the transfer that saw Richard Foster move to Glasgow on a similar deal, but has again found himself on the sidelines under new Dons boss Craig Brown. Having secured a loan deal for Blackburn Rovers striker Nick Blackman, the former Motherwell manager admits Velicka is surplus to requirements at Pittodrie. Brown said: “The thinking behind that is we have recruited Nick Blackman and it puts Andrius down the pecking order a bit.” He added “Andrius is going to Switzerland with a view to signing. St Gallen will have a look at him. An agent has arranged it and a decision will need to be made before the close of the window, although the way they are talking it looks quite positive.” Quote
