BigAl Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 If his decision was to fuck off, I don't think he'd need to bluff. More likely Craig Brown and Willie Miller have spoken to him and made him realise it would probably be more beneficial to remain at Aberdeen for the time being rather than chase the money. My point with that is that he keeps face with the support by making out he wanted to stay and then still leaves after it all anyway. Mind you Bebo might not be bright enough to do that Quote
Madbadteacher Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 I reckon he's a "guest" surfer on here and is just waiting long enough to re-sign so that Stoney will explode! Quote
tlg1903 Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 I think that a boom that would register on the richter scale Quote
RDU_64 Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 The article seems to suggest that had McGhee still been in charge, he would be offski however with Broon in and settled now and Maguire is obviously enjoying working under Broon, he will sit down and discuss a new deal. Quote
caledonia Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 Maguire is obviously enjoying working under Broon, he will sit down and discuss a new deal. Why is it when ever a player plays good it means that he enjoys playing under the said manager at the time. If this was the case then he has been ripping the fans off when he has not enjoyed playing under the last 2 managers. Quote
BrownyBrown Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 The last manager was a fucking buffoon and no-one enjoyed that sorry period in the clubs history. Quote
Cowie Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 That's what Miller says but part of that negotiation appears to have been lending him to Kilmarnock. I wouldn't take that as a strong desire to keep me if I was in his position. The last manager was a fucking buffoon and no-one enjoyed that sorry period in the clubs history. Sum's it up really... I do think that Maguire needs to screw his head on a bit tighter, but pretty much everything in the past 18 months connected with AFC has been a disaster, including the career progression of Maguire. RDU_64 Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 The last manager was a fucking buffoon and no-one enjoyed that sorry period in the clubs history. Agreed. Why is it when ever a player plays good it means that he enjoys playing under the said manager at the time. If this was the case then he has been ripping the fans off when he has not enjoyed playing under the last 2 managers. I never mentioned that it was my opinion, just I thought that the article suggested that this was the case. Quote
CtS Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 It's true that the McGhee experiment went horribly wrong, but you have to say the players don't exactly come out of this covered in glory. Effort should be the minimum requirement, and it should be delivered wholeheartedly for the benefit of the paying public - regardless of what they thought about the old Boss. Quote
Cowie Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 Think he was unlucky not to get man of the match today... Quote
Madbadteacher Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 Don't say that to Mini or Stoney, they'll go apoplectic! Quote
minijc Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 Don't say that to Mini or Stoney, they'll go apoplectic! Not at all, people are entitled to their opinions, I just think he was pish today apart from some bits of the second half, Derek Young and Considine had very good GAMES and by games I mean roughly 90 minutes. Young had a good 90 minutes? Now I know you're at it. Quote
minijc Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 Young had a good 90 minutes? Now I know you're at it. Was up there for MOTM, obviously you thought he had a poor game then? Quote
Madbadteacher Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 Oi. Mini. should you not be in a crappy pub/"nightclub" in Aberdeen somewhere failing to pull some dog? Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 Was up there for MOTM, obviously you thought he had a poor game then? Not at all, just the notion of Young being excellent for the entirety of the 90 minutes is bollocks. Quote
RDU_64 Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 Young was decent. No more, no less. Considine was ok, not really tested to any extent. Quote
Stewart Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 Young was decent. No more, no less. Considine was ok, not really tested to any extent. Thought Considine looked as good going forward as I've seen him. Agree that he didn't have much to do defensively though. Quote
BigAl Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 Young had a good 90 minutes? In fairness the guy on Radio Scotland did say that he ran Vernon close for sponsors MOTM. He did however also say that Bebo NOT Vernon should have got it Quote

King Street Loon Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 Think he was unlucky not to get man of the match today... I thought he didn't do to much in the first half. But with Brooners decision to swap him and Magennis he showed up more. And made two great crosses for Vernon to get on the end of. Not MOTM material for me though, not today. Quote

Cowie Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 Maguire was one of the best players on the park this afternoon. Evidently he doesn't give a shite... Quote
