Until it's written down in black and white you forget how weak our squad is after a few shitty injuries/suspendstions.

Still, home match, solid at the back, and a cheeky Vernon goal will do.

Ps congrats above

Good chance to see what milsom is made of.

Anyone else been listening to radio Scotland and the chat about the conspiracy? Cringe worthy stuff. Who the fuck was that deluded twat? Why do they allow sub humans like that on the radio?!

Congrats tsr, got a season ticket for the wee one yet?

Despite how paper thin our squad is for the first time in ages there are actually a couple of options on the bench. Nice to see we've kept hold of Vuja, Pawlett could be a good "impact" player today, Ifil can keep the seats warm for the rest of them.

Assume Aluko is ill/injured? (Or is Borown keeping him safe for a secret swap deal?

Edit: According to the beeb Aluko is injured. Oh and we have that fuckwit Alan Preston reporting on our game  :hammer:

Great start to the new year so far. I hope they can keep it up, a few months ago, we would have lost or played for the draw. Vernon seems to be exactly what we've been missing since big Arild graced the hallowed turf.

Someone on here did TF!

The honeymoons over next week but if we continue taking scalps from the teams around us then we're in really good shape. It's a nice feeling to know who our front pairing is, and to know who our starters in midfield are. Once we have a settled back 4 then everything will fall into place and we'll be back into the top 6.

Good result and a good performance. The first half was instantly forgettable with a couple of well struck shots from Milsom and a chance for Jack where he probably should have done better. Scrappy and unentertaining.

Second half was a massive improvement with Bebo the standout. Got an early goal from Vernon from about 2 yards out from a Maguire shot I think. Scott Davie on the radio said it looked to have been going in anyway? Second was near identical, again from Maguire. Worked some decent openings and a 2 nil victory is probably the correct result.

That's the first game I have been able to manage since Brown took charge and the difference is unbelievable. Well drilled, organised, confident and all the team together.

MOTM - Maguire.

What did you make of Milsom? Did he look as good as the radio suggested?

Agree with RDU.  It was a comfortable win, with St. Mirren being limited to a few chances (still errors in that defence though, especially that Vuja backpass).  First goal was excellent from McArdle's crossfield pass out of defence to Maguire, Maguire's control and cross and Vernon being in the right place.  Second goal was almost identical.

Impressed with Milsom, looks decent though obviously lacking competitive match time.  Not scared to take a shot, which has been missing from our midfield.  Passmarks all round, Maguire maybe edging man of the match over Vernon, Milsom and Considine who I thought was good on the left today.  Blackman in for Magennis, Hartley in for Young and a natural left back in and that team could still do some very impressive things this season.
