Glad to see him at least called into the training squad! Here is hoping he will make it into the squad for the next game! If he carried on like he has been then he will be extremely close!! Quote
glasgow sheep Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 Well done, although seems strange he wasn't in from the start Quote
BigAl Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 Well deserved, been pretty impressed by what I've seen of him so far. Will certainly do him no harm at all to get involved Thought it was a big mistake of Mr Brown to drop him for the cup semi and more than a little harsh on him. However he has his best years ahead of him and hopefully will enjoy plenty more occassions such as this with AFC Quote

Aberdeen_Ladette Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 Congratulations Ryan On a side note, I noticed that Jamie Ness has pulled out of the squad. A hun on the Scottish National Team facebook link claims "Ness has been pulled out by Smith as McCulloch is injured and we're struggling for cover in midfield" Quote
tsr Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 Can't blame him, probably wanting to avoid the player getting injured plus avoid playing to many games when rangers have a heavy as fk schedule ahead. Quote
McMaster Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 Glad to see him in the squad. hopefully he can cement himself a place in the starting 11. Quote
Aberdeen_Ladette Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 Can't blame him, probably wanting to avoid the player getting injured plus avoid playing to many games when rangers have a heavy as fk schedule ahead. Can't blame him?!, ..... surely wanting our player(s) to potentially avoid getting injured plus avoid playing too many games applies to all teams? Looking closer to home, the last thing we need right now is for Jack, or Maguire, to be injured in International games. Should Brown withdraw them from their respective squads? (Imo, no) We, and other teams, may not have the CL to play in however neither do we the money* nor depth of squad* Smith has (despite them pleading poverty!) (* = Lennon) Quote

(* = Lennon) It does, but obviously Smith's looking short term where as Brown and AFC have ot look long term, iexpoure for the players at that level and possible transfer fees. Quote
