mizer Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 He had moments where he was really frustrating but overall he put in a good shift, I think it's extremely harsh to criticise the lad after yesterday. Come on, too much happiness is dangerous! Quote
El Padre™ Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 Incidentally, Aluko is really starting to look like the player he was when he signed for us. It's amazing to see the difference a competent manager can make to a players form. Quote
McMaster Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 Well done the dons! In Orkney just now and heard the result yesterday when i got back into the b&b. Embarrassing enough i shouted and punched the air with delight. Whether or not we have turned the corner is yet to be known but i am thoroughly delighted with this result. Quote

As said by many others, great result. Hopefully we can push on and go on a bit of a run now! Quote
El Padre™ Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 My god, a 5-0 win over the 4th placed team and we only manage a 2 page thread about it. Had we been beaten it would have been about 5 pages. We really are the most miserable fans in the country. Quote
Harcus Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 Was at the game due to being in Aberdeen at short notice. Best I've seen us play in a good while. Killie were the better team for ten mins, but we took control then, we looked better than them which was great to see. Their defence was shocking though, really fucking bad. Thought aluko was excellent, ball was sticking to him when he had it. Would agree to an extent with penfold, couple of very frustrating moments from maguire, not too bad a shift though. Milsom looked good in midfield. And my steak pie was fucking great! Quote

Harcus Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 Probably the first thing he did to be fair. McGhee probably spent the catering budget on rice and peas for Ifil Quote
Azteca1903 Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 I wasn't there, but I'm glad we won 5-0. Positive. Quote

Mentorred Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 I think everyone is in shock. When did we last score 5 against SPL Opposition? Quote
BigAl Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 I think everyone is in shock. When did we last score 5 against SPL Opposition? against Killie, possibly last game of the season, but not sure exactly what year it was and reckon Ebbe was still in charge Quote
glasgow sheep Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 Biggest league win in 18years apparently! Quote
El Padre™ Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 Incidentally did Zander even touch their man for the supposed goal-scoring opportunity they were denied at the start of the game? Quote
dave_min Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 Just watched the highlights - we are fucking awesome! And nah - don't think Zander did touch him. The diving fuck. Quote
manc_don Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 Incidentally did Zander even touch their man for the supposed goal-scoring opportunity they were denied at the start of the game? Was this actually the incident everyone was moaning about? Didn't look like diamond was anywhere near him! Quote
Madbadteacher Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 Stonewaller vs some teams though Quote
Ptayles Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 Its good that we got a good result but i think we need some consistency... Just seems that we can only win by a few goals and not grind a result out. But anyway onwards and upwards Quote
Stewart Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 2000 against Killie (5-1) Dundee Utd 3-5 in fact. Quote
BigAl Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 Dundee Utd 3-5 in fact. Should have known that......I was there Wasn't that the game with the chant of "I'd rather be a brush than a combe" to a certain United keeper Quote

I seem to miss all the high scoring games. Was at Allan Park watching Cove Rangers during the Motherwell 6-5 and for some strange reason no one believed me when I was giving them updates from the radio. Quote
