Harcus Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 ABERDEEN FC boss Craig Brown today admitted he fears it is “90% certain” that Zander Diamond will move to Hearts in the summer. Diamond, who returns to the Aberdeen FC team after suspension for tonight’s SPL clash with St Mirren in Paisley, is refusing to say whether he will stay or go when his contract expires at the end of the season. However, Brown believes their hopes of persuading Diamond to stay are slim because the Edinburgh club, who are poised to open talks with the 26-year-old, can offer him a wage packet Aberdeen could never match. Guest ally s Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 Drop the cunt. Especially for the semi-final. This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I genuinely don't think we'd miss him if he was dropped for the rest of the season. As for the semi-final, if he does play, he'd better pray Hooper misses out. Quote

As we already have to deal with 12 on the pitch as it was, let alone with one of ours defecting. Cheerio ya twat. Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 Drop the cunt. Especially for the semi-final. As much as I agree with you, if he has survived the hook so far despite some woeful performances, I'd imagine this isn't going to see him dropped. Quote
Harcus Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 Yeah, CB seems to rate him. Or rather he rates ZD higher than his replacements. Quote
Madbadteacher Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 Get a traffic cone to replace him, canna be any more detrimental to our chances really. F O Zander, don't let the door hit you on the arse on the way out (It'd still probably beat you in the air!) Quote
CtS Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 I think I'd be a bit alarmed if I was Hearts fan reading about 'a wage packet Aberdeen could never match' being offered to a player of ZD's limited ability, but I guess Jeffries could point to the success Kevin Kyle enjoyed earlier in the season as proof that Diamond's form could be revitalised by the move. It's the right time for both afc and Zander to go their separate ways, I would wish him all the best for the future but if he chooses a move to Tynecastle he can fucking forget it. Hopefully within a year he'll be going on strike over unpaid bonuses or something. Quote
scotfree Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 It's funny but if you look on Pie and Bovril the Hertz fans are no to happy about Zander going there. I hope they get him. Quote

But KK was already doing reasonably well at Killie was he not before going to Hearts who are probably better equipped to give him goal scoring chances. Quote
CtS Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 Yeah but that comparison was just meant as in making the (perceived) step up to a top three club. He took reasonable form at Killie and turned it into vital goals for a club who undeniably gave the OF something to think about in the first half of the season. JJ will be hoping Diamond can also rise to the challenge, shake off the losers mentality, and help Hearts compete at that end of the table again next season. Quote

Madbadteacher Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 Well at least we should know how to score against the buggers now! Quote
dave_min Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 I love it how everybody thinks he will be replaced by someone better I don't think anybody thinks that tbh. The cunt can fuck off as far as i'm concerned. Can't wait for him to gift his beloved Celtic a goal at Hampden next week. Quote
Kowalski Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 ‘Diamond deserved better from Aberdeen FC fans’ Craig Brown’s blast at boo-boys By Charlie Allan Published: 09/05/2011 CRAIG Brown today claimed the Aberdeen FC fans who jeered Zander Diamond should be “embarrassed” by their behaviour. The Hearts-bound defender got pelters from sections of the Pittodrie crowd when a hip injury forced him to hobble out of their 2-0 SPL defeat by St Johnstone. Aberdeen FC boss Brown expressed “disappointment” that Diamond, who has been with the Dons for more than 10 years, was targeted by the Pittodrie boo-boys. Quote
RDU_64 Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 Caught the 'highlights' on Sportscene. Christ. I'm not even using my season ticket anymore and it seems I'm not missing much. Only notable highlight was seeing why Diamond has got to go, once again proving that he has no strength and is like Bambi on ice. He was lucky to concede a penalty after, once again, being caught out by a straightforward ball. Fucking useless. Embarrassed? I don't normally condone booing our players, even trying to defend Foster and Mackie in the past but the shambolic performances Diamond has put in these past few seasons, there is only one individual that should be embarrassed and I'm not meaning any of the fans. Good riddance. Quote
manc_don Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 How Brown could have a go at the fans is beyond me, hopefully it's just his management skills showing through and not wanting to lambast one of his players. Diamond deserves everything he gets though. Quote

Diamond deserves everything he gets though. What Manc said Diamond clapping the crowd as he went of could only have meant one of two things. Either he is even thicker than he looks or it was out and out sarcasm towards the crowd Quote

BigAl Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 There's no quotes... oh come on Dave......... are you seriously suggesting that Chic would make up a story like this. Actually now i think about it Quote
Stewart Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 Craig was also asked about the small minority of fans who booed the defender as he went off injured. "The service Zander has given does not deserve that type of response from the fans. These fans would feel a bit embarrassed if they were accused of giving a guy that kind of treatment who has given so much to Aberdeen. "The one thing I can tell these fans is that Zander Diamond always tries. Even if he has had a bad game at anytime. He is never ever deliberately slack. Ok he might miss time a tackle or misplace a pass but he is enthusiastic, he is committed, he is an honourable guy, he is very good to work with on the training ground and he will be missed in that regard. Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 he is committed, he is an honourable guy, he is very good to work with on the training ground and he will be missed in that regard, but not on the pitch where he is absolutely gash", Brown didn't add but really should have. Quote
manc_don Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 Sorry brown, but you're wrong. The guy has been a liability for a good number of seasons. Its a shame, he had potential, but due to being an ungrateful Tim ned, he's failed to realise it. Please ensure he is escorted from the City limits. Thanks. Quote
Tyrant Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 I hope his hideous X6 doesn't break doon on the way out of town. Quote
