Jute Posted June 1, 2017 Report Posted June 1, 2017 And McCann not staying on at Dundee. And now appointed manager. Very odd. Quote
February1971 Posted August 6, 2017 Report Posted August 6, 2017 Neil McCann , Manager   Quote
Madbadteacher Posted August 7, 2017 Report Posted August 7, 2017 McClaren linked with the Hearts job(bie) Quote
Slim Posted August 7, 2017 Report Posted August 7, 2017 McClaren would be a very good manager up here I reckon, would much rather they went with Hartley or Pressley. Quote
manc_don Posted August 7, 2017 Report Posted August 7, 2017 As long as it's after we play them, I'm fine with that Quote
Tyrant Posted August 8, 2017 Report Posted August 8, 2017 I don't rate Steve McClaren at all and am quite happy to see Hearts take a(n expensive) punt on him. Quote
tlg1903 Posted August 8, 2017 Report Posted August 8, 2017 Fascinating appointment if it happens Quote
BigAl Posted August 17, 2017 Report Posted August 17, 2017 Odds on Alan Archibald to Hearts tumbling this morning. Reckon he'd be a decent appointment for them if left to get on with things without interference from Avril Quote

Rate him but would be interesting to see how he copes with a bigger budget. Quote
Ten Caat Posted August 17, 2017 Report Posted August 17, 2017 He's a guy I would like to see considered if and when Deek eventually ups sticks. Would be an excellent appointment for Fartz would certainly steady the ship if he was allowed to do his own thing backed with a bit of cash. Question is do they have that cash right now with the ongoing stand funding issue. If they don't then taking it could prove toxic to his career at least in the short term. Quote
Stewart Posted August 28, 2017 Report Posted August 28, 2017 Craig Levein confirmed as new Hearts manager. Quote
TheDeeDon Posted September 2, 2017 Report Posted September 2, 2017 Craig Levein confirmed as new Hearts manager. FEck, that means we'll have some injuries once we play the fuckers next week as his teams are always physical to the extreme. Quote
Stewart Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 Houston oot at Falkirk and McIntyre oot at Ross County. Quote
Jute Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 Houston oot at Falkirk and McIntyre oot at Ross County. Only last month the Houston was being touted for the Hearts job. Quote
Jute Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 Not a manger but Russel Anderson has been appointed assistant manager at Formartine United. Quote
BigAl Posted September 28, 2017 Report Posted September 28, 2017 Owen Coyle to Ross County Christ, how the mighty have fallen Presume 77 year old Alex Smith is in temporary charge at Falkirk Quote

tom_widdows Posted September 28, 2017 Report Posted September 28, 2017 Owen Coyle to Ross County Christ, how the mighty have fallen Good luck to him. I think its refreshing to see someone like Coyle head back to a 'smaller' Scottish club. Suggests to me that he isn't just chasing money and is prepared to actually 'manage' a team rather than rely on a transfer kitty to carry him. Too many managers get a couple of sniffs of Englandshire and then turn their noses up at any Scottish club (apart from the obvious gap years that comes with yon Tic). Quote

Suggests to me his stock is low and he's trying to rebuild his reputation at RossCountyFootballClub and will aim to rebuild his reputation at the footballclub etc etc and so on and so forth. Quote
tom_widdows Posted September 28, 2017 Report Posted September 28, 2017 You thinking Alex Neil here Tom? My mind always springs to a former AFC Captain who apparently classes cheating to win an SPL title as a Manager as better than honestly winning 3 as a player or dumping Real Madrid & Bayern Munich in 1983 Quote

The boy is full of shit. He always has been. He always will be. There is no doubt that he had some initial success in his managerial pursuits. But these were honeymoon effects, nothing to do with any inherent ability. He's a fud. A weegie wannabe. Whatever he does in this job, see him in 5 or 10 years time. It will be nothing. Cos he's a fucking nothing. Quote
