Looking (not very far) ahead.

25 days

By now I'm usually salivating at the prospect of a new season, this Summer I'm thoroughly enjoying a break from it all.  Even the Woman's World cup can't tempt me.

I'm actually dreading the new season.  Never felt like this before.  My kids aren't interested in it, I've all but given up on it, the people running the club clearly don't give a fuck about it.  It's official.....

AFC, RIP in peace.

Hope that's cheered you all up.  :(

I'm trying to piece together a starting XI with who we have signed along with our current squad and no idea where to start, so many midfielders.

                          Gonzalez

                McArdle Mawene Considine

Foster      Osbourne  Fyvie  Milsom        Clark

                    Vernon  A.N Other

Pretty much what I was thinking but not sure where Jack, Aluko and Pawlett feature in terms of starting XI or bench.

Totally forgot about Pawlett somehow!  Can't see how he fits into that formation though, unfortunately and i think it's looking more likely that is how Brown is going to play it.

Looks to be a typically Craig Brown (Scotland) team, 3-5-2/5-3-2. Aluko and Pawlet presumably could take the position of AN Other,  Clark,  Foster or even Fyvie, Jack can fill in any where across the middle, so to can Folly or at the back. The bulk of our wins will be 1-0 but I'd say we'll win more than we loose with that formation.

subs:

new gk

new versatile def (or robertson)

new versatile def

clark

Pawlett

Magennis (or Paton)

new cf

obviously aluko/clangers would be there somewhere if/when available.

And possibly loaning Pawlett out might be a good idea, rather than another season where we can't accomodate him.
