Tyrant Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 I love how the boy that posted it actually thinks it's happening. Quote
RDU_64 Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 Riordan for all his ability as got some serious issues with nediness he needs to sort out first. Doesn't pull his weight for the team and the boy has some serious issues. Falling out with Strachan and being banned from every club in Edinburgh highlights this. Quote
manc_don Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 Dons know it wasn’t good enough but fraser defends stadium plan and rejects claim that club is out of touch with supporters By Paul Third Published: 18/05/2011 Aberdeen chief executive Duncan Fraser insists the club is determined to give supporters success on and off the field after admitting the season just finished was not acceptable. The Dons finished in ninth place in the SPL for the second successive year and Fraser admits no one at Pittodrie is happy with results on the field. But he believes that, with the support of the board, Craig Brown can deliver improvement. The club’s directors insist Pittodrie is no longer fit for purpose and that the need to move to a new stadium at Loirston on the outskirts of the city is urgent. But Fraser insisted that the club is not neglecting team affairs in favour of the stadium. McMaster Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 He sounds a bit of a player actually. Reasonable Fitba history. Sign him up :-) Quote
CtS Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 And the Dons are also in the market for Willo Flood, the former Dundee United and Middlesbrough midfielder. (Daily Express) Quote
Tyrant Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 this signing would create a real splash. Disagree. I think it'd be watering the seeds of destruction! Quote
Kowalski Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 One pun and immediately the floodgates open Quote
manc_don Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 I don't think this will solve our leaky defence, though it could plug the gap between the midfield and attack. Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 Just a wisp of a lad but I don't expect him to be inundated with offers. Quote
Madbadteacher Posted May 20, 2011 Report Posted May 20, 2011 But would he join a shower like AFC? Quote
Jute Posted May 23, 2011 Report Posted May 23, 2011 But would he join a shower like AFC? Apparently not as Daily Retard has an article this morning saying he is signing for the Arabs. Quote
manc_don Posted May 23, 2011 Report Posted May 23, 2011 Ah, the season of frustration and disappointment is firmly upon us Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted May 23, 2011 Report Posted May 23, 2011 Ah, the season of frustration and disappointment is firmly upon us Did that not finish last week..? Quote
tlg1903 Posted May 23, 2011 Author Report Posted May 23, 2011 The season of frustration and disapointment never ends as an aberdeen fan Quote
CtS Posted May 25, 2011 Report Posted May 25, 2011 Now be careful not to get crushed in the stampede for season tickets, but the exciting news for all dons fans (from yesterday's EE)..... I'll get the best out of Mackie Says Craig Broon. Hold me back. Quote
Harcus Posted May 25, 2011 Report Posted May 25, 2011 I wonder what goal tally he's going to set for the strikers, that always works a treat. Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted May 28, 2011 Report Posted May 28, 2011 Craig Brown's "big name signing" was going to be Russell Anderson, who was interested in coming back, but has decided to see out his contract at Derby. Quote
Harcus Posted May 28, 2011 Report Posted May 28, 2011 Fuck sakes, that would have been fantastic. Quote
manc_don Posted May 28, 2011 Report Posted May 28, 2011 Great, more disappointment! I was hoping with Craig brown in charge we might be a bit more attractive to players. Quote
Madbadteacher Posted May 28, 2011 Report Posted May 28, 2011 Fuck sakes, that would have been fantastic. I know! Another injury prone player to clog up the treatment room Yes Anderson was good, better than Diamond and Considine, but Seve was far better, and I'm sure we can do better than go back in time to a player who was IMHO idolised way beyond his actual contribution. Puts on tin hat Quote
manc_don Posted May 28, 2011 Report Posted May 28, 2011 I'll counter that, who do you realistically think we can sign? I've read a few boards where people were even saying they didn't want to resign smith. What the fuck? We deserved to finish in the position we finished. We're unattractive as a club with the fans turning their backs, I genuinely wouldn't want to go to a club like that if i was a player. Anderson would have been a coup for us, and I don't expect to see the club signing anyone of his or Seve's calibre anytime soon. Call it negative, but I call it being realistic. Quote

Absolute bollocks. Did you see Seve play in his last two years? Quote
