BigAl
Can we nae even discuss fixtures like? I'm nae sure any more about this. Whole fucking world has gone mad if you ask me. Thought I'd edit to play it safe given day of announcement and potential to get done under copyright law Having said that I see over with the Happy Chatters they have a screen dump of the season's fixtures and thery don't have the rights either
Tyrant
Surely we're allowed to discuss them? It's not as if we're posting a list? Can we not have our weekly "Dons V some other shite" threads anymore since that has the fixture in the name? Agree about the world going mad. Utterly ridiculous state of afairs. maverick sheep
fairly sure you can't copyright something as small as an individual fixture. It has to be enough of the whole body of "work" to count as a substantial part. Same reason song/film/book titles can't be copyrighted. mizer
I don't get it... I thought internet copyright was the same as for books? Therefore, you can copy it as long as you reference the source. That's why when i link to news stories or afc site i always add the page link too. Who gets the right to say a fixture list has to be licensed? Some twat! I think you can print individual fixtures but having the list or more than one is not?

maverick sheep
there's a fuckload to be negative and critical about when aberdeen are concerned, but moaning because we've been scheduled to play against a team in the same league as us...? Superstar Tradesman
I truly couldn't give a toss who we are playing from week to week now. If AFC have now made it even more difficult for me to find out then I probably won't even bother trying to find out. Seems they are hell bent on severing all ties with the fans. If that's the case then they're doing a fine job.
jmo
I'm not sure that it is an AFC thing, isn't it to do with the SPL only allowing clubs to allot a limited amount of places where the fixtures can be printed?
Harcus
Yep, absolutely nothing to do with AFC. They have the fixtures displayed on afc.co.uk, and I think Mad has the rights amongst the chat sites.
