Jute
Surely has to be better than some of the donkeys that gone before him. Two international caps for Colombia In 2005. Not played a first team game since 2008 and as far as I can see form internet not even played a reserve game for Leeds either.

manc_don
I can't say I've seen him play, but I certainly think that this is something that the club should be looking at given that: a) Langfield is still unable to train b) Langfield is a bit dodgy. Hopefully he'll be a step up from what we have had in recent times.
Reekie_Red
Lets see what Bandy can do with him in training. If he can turn Preece into a half-decent keeper, who knows what he can do with a Columbian internationalist!!
McMaster
Did read that he is only signing the lad til January. Once Langfield is fit he will be reinstated in the team. Hope sentiment doesn't blind Craigs rational thinking. If he plays blinding for us and wants to stay on loan then Jamie might have to fight to regain his place, which is the way it should be. Stewart
The manager also revealed the club are close to signing Colombia keeper David Gonzalez on loan from Manchester City. "The deal is 90% done. I don't see anything to stop the deal progressing. He is not back in the UK until the 30th but hopefully he will be back in time to join us in Germany. The arrangements are now in the hands of Duncan Fraser and Brian Marwood at Manchester City. It seems to be that all systems are go for the move. David Gonzalez"He will come in as first choice and he can only lose his spot. We will still have to get another goalkeeper in as well. It is a win win situation as David will get to play games and we will get a very good goalkeeper on loan as cover for Jamie. Sandaldinho
Aberdeen to sign Man City keeper David Gonzalez The Dons have negotiated a deal to bring the 28-year-old Colombian to Pittodrie for a six-month period. Gonzalez joined City in January 2010 but is yet to make a first-team appearance and had a loan spell with Leeds United last season. Chris Oldfield, a 20-year-old goalkeeper formerly on the books at Liverpool, is on trial with the Dons. Manager Craig Brown aims to add two new shot-stoppers to his squad, with Jamie Langfield sidelined until October and Mark Howard released at the end of last season. Langfield suffered a seizure last month and while he has returned to light training with his team-mates he is out of competitive action until the autumn. Former Coventry City midfielder Isaac Osbourne and Spanish midfielder Andoitz Galdos Gabas are also training with Aberdeen at the moment.
