BobbyBiscuit Posted July 8, 2011 Report Posted July 8, 2011 ...wise move I think. Bit of a shame for both us and him that he struggled with his hernia problem in the second part of the season. I don't think he gets enough credit sometimes for his overall play, his movement is excellent at times. Quote
dave_min Posted July 8, 2011 Report Posted July 8, 2011 His movement and finishing are both excellent, but his ability to take on a player is embarrassing. I'd be happy for him to stay a little longer though. Quote

I suppose though if he had excellent movement and finishing as well as the ability to beat a man regularly, he probably wouldn't be at Pittodrie. Quote
dave_min Posted July 8, 2011 Report Posted July 8, 2011 Yeah, you're right. I suppose though if he had excellent movement and finishing as well as the ability to beat a man regularly, he probably wouldn't be at Pittodrie. A sad reality. Quote
Ptayles Posted July 8, 2011 Report Posted July 8, 2011 To be honest, We really just need that player who knows where the back of the net is. And he is that man (When fit etc.) Quote
Jute Posted July 8, 2011 Report Posted July 8, 2011 Wonder if we will actually sort this out now or do as we have done every other season leave it until January. Quote
manc_don Posted July 10, 2011 Report Posted July 10, 2011 Wise move by the club. I really like him as a player and he certainly knows where the net is when he's playing. Quote
maverick sheep Posted July 10, 2011 Report Posted July 10, 2011 All well and good but without a new striker with a bit of movement, Vernon will be limited in the space/chances he gets. Unless this is Mackie's breakthrough season Quote
