Kowalski Posted August 7, 2011 Report Posted August 7, 2011 Tibia and fibia snapped in a tackle yesterday. Career could be over. 50/50 challenge by the sounds of things. Quote
rocket_scientist Posted August 7, 2011 Report Posted August 7, 2011 The size of my care factor is surprisingly, and possibly inhumanely, negligible. Quote
Stewart Posted August 7, 2011 Report Posted August 7, 2011 Not a good day to be a former Aberdeen captain/vice-captain yesterday. Quote
dave_min Posted August 7, 2011 Report Posted August 7, 2011 The size of my care factor is surprisingly, and possibly inhumanely, negligible. I concur. Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted August 7, 2011 Report Posted August 7, 2011 Tibia and fibia snapped in a tackle yesterday. Career could be over. 50/50 challenge by the sounds of things. I played against and with Severin and he was a cracking player. He pissed me off in his last couple of seasons with the Dons but I am genuinely sad to hear about that. I really hope he makes it back. His was a talent Scotland never made the most of, and that was never his fault. Quote
tom_widdows Posted August 7, 2011 Report Posted August 7, 2011 The size of my care factor is surprisingly, and possibly inhumanely, negligible. Then why did you feel the need to contribute to this discussion? Quote
CtS Posted August 7, 2011 Report Posted August 7, 2011 Get well soon seve. Exactly. Best player I've seen in a Dons shirt for many a year, he was a great servant to our club. Hope that's not the end of his playing days. Quote
mizer Posted August 7, 2011 Report Posted August 7, 2011 Going on the list of injuries I would expect that to be it for him now. Never a great captain for us but a good player and scored a few memorable goals. Quote
Tyrant Posted August 8, 2011 Report Posted August 8, 2011 Aye it was a 50/50 tackle. Even after seeing all the replays it never looked like his leg was broken but apparently broken in 3 places. I was saddened to hear about this and my first thought was that we might not see him come back. I met him down in Brighton last pre season and he was a fine bloke. Quote
BigAl Posted August 8, 2011 Report Posted August 8, 2011 Sounds like a real bad one. I'm with Mizer on this one, good payer for us, but a poor captain. Nae axe to grind against him, and wish him a speedy and fill recovery. Quote

I thought him and aluko were moody that day, didn't really want to have pics taken with the fans. Anyway, sad news and I wish him a speedy recovery. Quote

Tyrant Posted August 8, 2011 Report Posted August 8, 2011 It's a well known fact that you have to be steaming to be able to speak to people who are steaming. Perhaps it was a case of this! Quote
manc_don Posted August 8, 2011 Report Posted August 8, 2011 It's a well known fact that you have to be steaming to be able to speak to people who are steaming. Perhaps it was a case of this! Well, I was going to include that, but I chose to neglect that part of the story Quote
rocket_scientist Posted August 8, 2011 Report Posted August 8, 2011 Then why did you feel the need to contribute to this discussion? I didn't "feel the need". I was bored and there was fuck all else being discussed. Anyway, is registering a position of apathy on a specific point not a valid contribution? Quote

manc_don Posted August 8, 2011 Report Posted August 8, 2011 I disagree Tom, everyone is entitled to their opinion, whether we agree with it is another thing. Quote
rocket_scientist Posted August 8, 2011 Report Posted August 8, 2011 Only if you are an attention seeker trying to make the thread about you Jesus Christ. If you say so. I guess dave_min must also be seeking attention? On topic, I was a huge fan of Seve at AFC until his last 2.5 seasons. I think he wasn't helped by weak management but he lost both his fitness and his appetite for the game. I find it an unforgivable offence to play for AFC and not try to give your best. Whilst he was by no means on his own here and was part of the vast majority, he was symptomatic of the loser culture that was allowed to infect the club. Quote
tom_widdows Posted August 8, 2011 Report Posted August 8, 2011 I disagree Tom, everyone is entitled to their opinion, whether we agree with it is another thing. If you dont care for something and no one is forcing you to read or contribute to it then why bother to comment at all? As I see it the point of this topic was the highlight the injury of a former player and perhaps invite comments such as 'i hope he gets better' or memories about how good or bad a player he was in your opinion. And the discussion continues. If the thread had FAO rocket & Dave-min in the title then fair enough. Quote
Nellie The Don Posted August 8, 2011 Report Posted August 8, 2011 One of our rivals is going to be without an important player for a long time. Surely this is a good thing, no? Quote
dave_min Posted August 8, 2011 Report Posted August 8, 2011 I've nothing against the boy, I just couldnt give a fuck if he's injured or not, no matter how serious it is. Quote
