I see they've signed Griffiths.............watch him rack up the Scotland caps now ::)

Liability of the highest order off the park.

So Popcorn Teeth reckons he can control him off the park.

I reckon within the calendar year Griffiths will either have decked Lennon on the training field or impregnated his wife... or better still both

A GROUP of Celtic fans opposing Scotland's sectarianism in football laws are to release an anthem to Irish Republican hunger strikers as part of their campaign against the legislation.

Fans Against Criminalisation (FAC) said they would release 'Roll Of Honour' next week in a bid to "embarrass the hypocrites who seek to criminalise us".

The song mentions the 10 Provisional IRA and INLA members who starved themselves to death in Northern Ireland's notorious Maze Prison in 1981 in protest against the UK Government's prison policies for paramilitary inmates.

It has seen several Celtic fans brought before the courts under the Offensive Behaviour at Football Act for the line "England You're A Monster", although some of these cases have been dismissed by sheriffs.

It is being released in conjunction with its authors, the notorious 'rebel' band The Irish Brigade.

A statement from FAC said the release of the song would "help aid our campaign against the criminalisation of football supporters and the suppression of political expression".

It adds: "This particular song is a ballad about civil resistance and a struggle for basic human rights and it has been a favourite of the Celtic support for over a decade.

"Shamefully, the SNP's Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications (Scotland) Act has resulted in the song becoming a target for Police Scotland and numerous arrests have been made as a result.

"From its outset FAC has sought to oppose this discriminatory piece of legislation and to defend the rights of football supporters which have been continually eroded since the Act's introduction.

"We call on the Celtic family from all corners of the globe to support this campaign by downloading the single to help raise funds to aid the legal costs of those whose lives are being torn apart by this disgracefully illiberal law and to help further publicise the hypocrisy inherent within the government's position."

But the move has not been universally endorsed by Celtic fans on social media, with some criticising the plans as being unrepresentative of the wider support.

One fan said: "'This is a song the vast majority of fans see as having nothing whatsoever to do with their club. Celtic is a club which is looking forward, not back."

Celtic's Peter Lawwell: Lack of competition needs addressed

Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell feels the lack of competition in Scotland's top flight needs addressed.

The reigning champions are 21 points clear at the top of the Premiership and are close to a third straight title.

Lawwell was speaking as the club honoured the 20th anniversary of Fergus McCann's takeover.

"The perceived lack of competition in Scottish football in the league is an issue that we need to find a solution to," Lawwell told BBC Radio Scotland.

"There are different challenges, different types of challenge but still big challenges for everyone in Scottish football.

"Things have changed over the last 15, 20 years, particularly in media values in the big nations that have gone beyond anyone's reasonable expectations.

"The gap between the big nations and the small nations is huge and we need to find a solution for Scottish football as well as Celtic in order to bridge that gap in some way or other.

"It's put Celtic and other Scottish clubs at a competitive disadvantage in terms of wages and transfer fees."

Canada-based businessman McCann rescued Celtic from the brink of bankruptcy in March 1994 when the club's credit facility was recalled by the bank.

The club's fortunes were subsequently transformed, both on and off the pitch, under McCann's five-year stewardship with Celtic Park rebuilt and the team winning their first league title in a decade in 1998.

Since McCann's departure, Celtic have won eight league titles in 15 years.

And Lawwell believes the club are now "probably financially in the best position we've ever been in".

"We have the best facilities, we have a great management team, we've great executives at the club, the best sports science and one of the best recruitment functions in Europe," he added.

"So, we are in pretty good shape, there's no question about that."

Proper punishments for cheating for a start?

The Old Firm throttled the life out of the Scottish game for years. Rangers especially bought other clubs' best players (with money they didn't even fucking have) and they've both been whinging for years about how they're shite in Yoorope because we don't give them good games. Fuck them both.

Ronny Deila  clearly embracing being part of the oldfirm, the arrogance and contempt for the rest of Scotland's clubs is exactly whatwould expect from a seasoned old firm veteran

Wank

Manager Ronny Deila says it is "stupid" that Celtic have to negotiate three qualifying rounds just to make the group stages of the Champions League.

Thanks to Scotland's poor club ranking, Celtic must beat Icelandic side KR Reykjavik and two other teams to make the group phase.

"Celtic have been fighting for many years with the best teams in Europe," said Norwegian Deila.

"It is stupid the Scottish coefficient is not regarded as good enough."

The Scottish champions, who reached the last 16 in 2013, are aiming for a third consecutive season in the group phase.

"I knew before I came here that we had three qualifying rounds," added Deila, who was appointed on 6 June.

"That's wrong because you have to take into consideration the club, not the country.

"We need the biggest clubs in the Champions League, who have deserved it.

"It's very unfair that going to the last 16, as we did two years ago, is not going to be recognised.

"But it's a problem in every small country. We maybe have one good team but the other ones are dragging that team down."

He's a horrible human being. Had he not achieved what he had with us I wouldn't give him the time of day.

Even allowing for that, personally I'd still struggle to give him the time of day.

Arrogant lying prick

The die was cast the day he appeared back at Pittodrie
