capitalsharpie Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 I have heard worrying rumours that we may potentially lose up to six players in January. If this happens, is it not time to start asking our rather quiet board of directors just what the hell they are up to as, let face it Wiggy has resided over the worst period in Aberdeen football clubs history. Fair enough it depends on who these players are, but do we actully have the depth of squad to lose that amount of personnel? Quote

Drewsome Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 When there are names attached to the rumours, I'll worry. Quote
Millers Tache Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 Exactly Drew. I've little doubt we'll lose somebody over the January window. After all, Aluko's deal runs out then. Anyway, the amount of folk out of contract means we'll probably lose one on a pre contract (i hope it's Byrne...), and Clangfield'll be offered to anyone who wants him. Quote
Drewsome Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 Langfield, Byrne, yes. McNamara - we spent to much bringing him in too - We are gonna want our pound of flesh before we let him go. Quote
glasgow sheep Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 january transfer window speculation. The August one has just closed for christ sake. Can we not just enjoy the peace Quote
capitalsharpie Posted September 13, 2007 Author Report Posted September 13, 2007 All im saying is ther is no smoke without fire and I believe that instead of being able on build on last seasons team, we havnt got the same strength throught the squad. Any more losses and it could mean real trouble? Quote
Drewsome Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 Maybe Capitalsharpie, but we also haven't had the easiest of schedules either. Quote
glasgow sheep Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 I would argue that we have a stronger squad than last year given all we lost was anderson (and brew) but have gained McNamara, Mair, De Vischer, as well as the three youngsters from england. Quote
capitalsharpie Posted September 13, 2007 Author Report Posted September 13, 2007 DeVischer untried in SPL. Three youngters good for long run, fair enough but not immediately bolstering first team. Quote
Drewsome Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 De Visscher will get his games, rest assured. Quote
