Loved his Red Tv interview. "There was not enough hunger in the team." "There is not enough hunger to want to score."

" We need to have a goal to win and if people are not willing to take players on and go in and win tackles they should not be on the pitch. Players who are having a bad game need to get into the game, instead they go and hide and this should not happen"

"We are all mates at the club but if someone is not contributing we need to tell  them"

Strong words from #Aberdeen's Kari Arnason. One quote: "We were so flat against #Motherwell. There were people just ******* standing there!"

Arnason: "If you're having a poor game, you need to at least be throwing yourself into tackles...." #Aberdeen #captainmaterial ?

Not surprised to read Kari Arnason's comments today, he was visably continually annoyed by his team-mates on Saturday #Aberdeen

Kari Arnason would love to sign a new deal with Aberdeen

Aberdeen’s Icelandic midfielder Kari Arnason wants to stay at Pittodrie.

Dons manager Craig Brown, who signed Arnason on a one-year deal in July, has expressed his desire to keep the former Plymouth Argyle midfielder and the player is keen on extending his stay.

Can't say that little snippet says much.

Standard AFC situation. Would be surprised if we manage to hang on to Arnason. The decision to give him a one year contract in the first place was a joke.

What if that's all he was willing to sign?

Bad injury? Thought he'd tweeked his hamstring?

Thats what I thought, though they were supposed to be doing tests on it yesterday I thought.

Either way, I hope he signs up.

Aye but at first we were hearing it was a hamstring tear. And the truth is until they tell us what this scan showed we don't really know.

Arnason close to comeback with Aberdeen FC

Kari responding well to treatment

  Quote
ABERDEEN FC were today boosted by the news star midfielder Kari Arnason has moved closer to making a comeback.

The Icelandic international was sorely missed as Aberdeen FC lost 2-1 at home to Motherwell in the SPL.

There were fears Arnason could be ruled out for six weeks after suffering a torn hamstring in training, but boss Craig Brown confirmed Arnason has responded well to treatment.
