dave_min
According to the BBC theres no Vernon in team or even on bench?? Is that right or have I missed an obvious reason why he isn't playing? I'd also like to know why.... We played alright, but the Huns were there for the taking and we did nothing to actually bother to take them! Graeme_S
While we played some decent stuff, we never really troubled them at their end until the last 5 mins. want to at least see that effort though against the non-old firm teams around us. Clark was pretty poor. Fallon deserved a red just for his total non-performance. If we're gonna go with 1 up front, we need someone that looks like he fancies breaking out of a jog more than twice a game. thought Osbourne was disappointing compared to his general level of performance this season, but Arnason was good. Biggalloot
Just got sent this, Naismiths challenge on Milsom that got him taken off. Of course it shall be said that it was a 50-50 challenge and poor old Naismith for being out for next few weeks. Fucking disgrace - and don't get me started on that Willie Collum cunt. BigAl
OK my take on things. Thought the Huns deserved to win over the piece, and didn't need all the help they got from "Twa Cocks" and the main stand side linesman. Touch of poetic justice in Naismith collapsing in a heap with nae fucker near him as he should have had a straight red for his over the top lunge on Milsom. JellyBelly lucky to last full ninety minutes, and a non corrupt Scottish referee would surely have had him off the park. MOTM for me was Considine, closely followed by Arni. Used to think some of the criticism of Mackie was OTT.... but not today, said five minutes before half time that despite coming on as a sub, he should have been subbed. Josh should have been on with a good thirty mins to go to run at the Hun defence who looked very ropey. Thought Clark was far from our worst player, particularily in ther second half. BigAl
Also just seen tv footage of Naismith going over the top on Milsom fuck all difference between that and a certain tackle twenty three years ago, only difference being that Simmy did it properly
rocket_scientist
Also just seen tv footage of Naismith going over the top on Milsom....... fuck all difference between that and a certain tackle twenty three years ago, only difference being that Simmy did it properly Didn't see this today as was battling the elements on a fine East Lothian golf course but I did see the deliberate destruction of Durrant live. I absolve Simmy of any blame. Neale Cooper started it. Simmy finished it. That cunt Naismith has a couple of things in common with Durrant. They were both playing for Scotland. They both love the institution of hunnery. If I see on the telly intent from that little dirty mink to Milsom anywhere near the level when it was properly executed back in the 80's, Naismith will get a smack in the mouth when he least expects it fifteen years hence from a otherwise disturbed individual who found this post on the interweb by accident in 2026. He will be wearing striped pyjamas when he hits the hun cunt. It will be a beauty.
BobbyBiscuit
Also just seen tv footage of Naismith going over the top on Milsom fuck all difference between that and a certain tackle twenty three years ago, only difference being that Simmy did it properly My mate called it straight off Al, said it's a straight red without seeing any replay. They showed it at half time and magnified the contact.. fuck me. Milsom has a severe gash on his leg, and I'm amazed that's all it is. It should have been a straight red. baggy89
Arnason's yellow after 8 minutes set the tone. I was surprised we made it to half time without some of ours being sent off. Such was the reffing, I kind of expected Milsom to get a talking too over being assaulted. And how the huns didn't get at least a free kick after Naismith got fouled by the turf... I know Mackie isn't the greatest but to me it looked like a tug on his shirt the way his hand went up looked like it was an attempt at correcting his balance. If it was in the EPL it would have been a pen, no question. I can only assume Columnt was on some kind of bonus scheme to make sure at least one Aberdeen player got a red card. After Fallon got sent to the dressing room for having the audacity to challenge for a header. The real low point for me, however, was Booth's co-commentary. manc_don
Fallon shouldn't have even been on the pitch. Right enough he did nothing wrong in that incident, but his needless lunge some 3 mins before would have made up the refs mind. Gollum is a twat, but fallon probably was lucky not to have been sent off earlier.
Kowalski
First game of the season for me Thought we played quite well in the first half and matched a very poor hun side, but we were rubbish after the break and it was sadly a matter of time before they scored. We only really got going once we'd scored. As discussed above the ref was shocking, and Naismith is a dirty bastard. I thought Considine and Foster played well, particularly in the first half, but I believe Foster may have been at fault for the first goal. Arnason had a decent game but I wasn't too impressed with many others to be honest. Osbourne had a disappointing game with some sloppy mistakes, and Fallon and Chalali were poor IMHO. However, nobody was as bad as Mackie - surely his worst performance in a Dons shirt. Would have liked to have seen us start with 2 up front, as the Huns were there for the taking yesterday. rocket_scientist
Naismith didn't try to injure Milsom. Milsom maiming was not his aim. He was going for the ball and missed, injuring himself in the process. Nasty one for Rob but he'll make a full recovery in a few weeks. Naismith on the other hand is fucked. This makes me happy. Me not like that dirty little fucker.
dave_min
Nah - there was zero attempt to get the ball. He was trying to break his ankle and he managed to ruin his career while doing it. I'm not unhappy about this.

Superstar Tradesman
First game I've been to since Hartley scored a hat-trick of pens on his debut. Had to buy a programme as I didn't have a clue who half the team were. Don’t think we ever looked like winning that game but I don’t think we played too badly. Just lacked some punch going forward and I couldn’t really see where goals could possibly come from, other than set pieces, but they were generally quite poor. Thoughts: Considine has really matured into a good solid defender. Clears his lines well, doesn’t panic, and looks to pass his way out of trouble rather than lumping it up the park. Probably man of the match for me. Mawene doesn’t look like quite the bomb-scare that he did when I’ve watched us on the box. Would be interested to hear how that performance stands against his usual Saturday showing. The RDS is beginning to look pretty weathered. I guess they’re just leaving it to crumble with the rest of Pittodrie now but still, it was sad to see the state of it. Think we’ve got a decent back-bone of a squad now but still a few players that are below par. We look a lot more physical than we have done in years and that can only be a good thing with all the smaller, young guys coming through. Don’t think relegation is of concern now. Top six obscurity/security would be my prediction.
BigAl
Stand by my original comments of Saturday. No attempt to play the ball whatsoever. Milsom had started the game really effectively. I believe the intent was there, and even if it wasn't, that WAS a leg/ankle breaking tackle assault.

Tyrant
I agree with the majority regarding the Naismith assault. It happened right under my nose and at first we thought he was feigning injury to avoid punishment but was only too fucking happy to see the injury was genuine because it's what the horrible, vile little faggot deserved. His blue shirt exonerates him from punishment. Having watched Naismith since he joined the Huns he's rapidly turned into a fucking horrible human being. His elbow against Dunfermline at East End Park underlined that IMO opinion. He's dirty, gurning moaning prick and as soon as he's fully recovered from his injury I will fight him. Someone set it up. Rocket can film it. I did half expect Fallon to see red for his lunge but that doesn't mean that it was a fucking joke decision to give him a straight red for what was effectively a challenge in the air for a ball. Obviously Jelavic is allowed to kick whoever he wants because he is a dirty horrible hun. I'm surprised that no one's mentioning the kick out* that McGregor aimed at Fyvie (I think). It was similar to the one he aimed at Bebo last season. Obviously it being McGregor he missed but the fucking intent was there. So aye a lot of the refereeing was shocking but the thing that disappointed me most was how fucking negatively we played. The Huns are fucking shite. How they've never lost away is beyond me unless Saturday was a real off day for them. They were there for the taking but we showed fear of their record and played for a draw and if you ask me we got what we deserved out of the game. Considine did play well but Arnason and Osbourne weren't as dependable as usual. A lot of the players seemed to be slipping too (which is why Foster ended up on his arse right before their first goal). I though Clark did ok. You could tell that he hates the Huns and when their right-back got binned I was delighted. Fallon's effort levels weren't as high as I would've liked despite me telling him on Facebook that losing wasn't an option. We might as well release Mackie and Chalali for all the fucking use they are and just go with 5 on the bench. The Hun support was its usual embarrassing self. Clear chants of "Ye can stick yer Tartan Army up yer arse" were heard before some of the many renditions of God Save Ra Queen. Many Rangers fans still follow Scotland closely. How must they feel when standing next to knuckle-draggers singing this? I'm so so glad that I wasn't raised as a Hun or a Tim. I can't even put into words how much I hate both insitutions. Anyway.. this has to go down as another opportunity to beat the Huns wasted. * Edit: I see Chris Crighton has mentioned this in his article. BigAl
Just saw this on mad Saw this on Saturday. It was only up during half time, but brought a smile to my face on a day when there was very little else of amusement
mizer
The daily retard have done their normal impartial reporting too http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/football/spl/2011/10/31/aberdeen-stopper-andrew-considine-spl-title-race-is-not-dead-86908-23527416/ Not one mention about the tackle or Milsoms injury but this But Considine didn't forget his manners on a day when Rangers captain Steven Davis blasted the Aberdeen fans for cheering when a stretcher was brought on for the badly injured Steven Naismith. He said: "I was sad to hear he might have a serious injury." But what else do you expect from Hugh Keevins
