So he's living in Weedgieland then?  :o

Anyhoo - I had 20 quids worth of bets on this game at Ladbrokes.com

Will they get refunded or do they stay active for the rescheduled game?

They'll only be valid if the game is played within the week (which it won't be), otherwise you'll be fully refunded.

We have ruled out the replay as this Saturday

Aberdeen have scuppered a proposal for their Scottish Premier League match at St Johnstone to be played on Saturday.

Monday's game was called off at 1700 GMT because of fog in Perth and the SPL is keen for postponed fixtures to be played at the earliest available date.

But this weekend's free dates, created by the international break, do not suit the Dons, who have four players away on international duty.

Josh Magennis, Peter Pawlett, Mohammed Chalali and Ryan Jack are unavailable.

Magennis and Pawlett are on Under-21 duty for Northern Ireland and Scotland respectively, while Mohammed Chalali is with Algeria's Under-23 Olympic squad.

Jack is also on international duty, although he would be suspended for the Saints fixture if it were played this weekend.

SPL chief executive Neil Doncaster told BBC Scotland on Monday evening that his preference was for the clubs to get the game played soon, but he stressed there was no way of insisting that it be staged this weekend, given the short notice for the clubs.

Monday's game at McDiarmid Park was postponed when referee Steven McLean deemed the fog to be too thick for the game to go ahead.

"We'd like it played as soon as possible because we know what the issues were last year and the year before in terms of fixture congestion," Doncaster said.

Our rules provide that clubs make every effort to get the games on and we expect that to be the case

"The last thing you need is fixtures piling up at this stage of the season. The earlier we can get a fixture away, the better."

Scotland are in Cyprus ahead of their friendly on Friday in the weekend set aside for international football.

However, Aberdeen's stance means it is not likely that their game at St Johnstone can be squeezed in before their next league game, against Motherwell on 19 November.

In terms of postponements more generally, Doncaster underlined that the match official can call off a game at any stage and that clubs, no matter how well they are prepared, are at the mercy of sudden heavy snowfalls or thick fog.

"Our rules provide that clubs make every effort to get the games on and we expect that to be the case," he said.

"It is only in the event that you end up with the conditions being such that the game simply cannot go ahead that we would postpone the game."

The idea of a winter break "remains very much under consideration", but problems around arranging alternative dates persist.

"The trade-off is that the later you start the season or the more games you lose in any winter break then the more midweek games you are going to need in other parts of the season," added Doncaster.

"In an ideal world, you'd be able to use midweek slots in the the summer to make use of the nice weather we have then, but the reality is that we are not allowed to schedule midweek games in the summer because most of those midweeks are taken up with European games.

"It doesn't matter if Scottish clubs are involved in European games or not.

"Uefa block out midweeks over most of the summer, which means that the only midweeks we can use, if we start the season later or build in a winter break, are generally those when you don't want a midweek game - the winter months of November, December, January and February."

Don't know if anyone bothers with these but here are this weeks stats:

We have a good record down there but wouldn't expect many goals.  Also didn't realise quite how good their form is and if they had won at the w/end they would be just a point behind the tims, but as it is sit in 4th.

Craig then looked ahead to the game on Tuesday night against St Johnstone.

"I was surprised they lost at home (St. Johnstone 0-3 Motherwell) but I don't think that was representative of the match. I don't think the defeat will have any effect on their performance, it might even fire them up a bit more."

"It's a big open pitch, good for a game of football, not a tight compact ground where tackles are flying. We were okay in spells in the game on Saturday as we have in most the games. We have a poor away record which is not pleasing but it is there to be improved upon and hopefully we will.

"We have one or two wee niggles. Rory Fallon is feeling it in his groin, but we think he will be okay. Yoann Folly is the only long term injury and Fraser Fyvie is banned."

Richard Foster then came into the press room to speak with the media. He was the player put up by the club for the pre match press duties. And not unexpectedly Richard was asked about linking up again with his former team mate.

"It would be great for Aberdeen if Russell returned to the club. It would be great for the dressing room. It was disappointing when he left but obviously it was time for him to move on in his career but he was a great player for Aberdeen so it would be great to see him comeback.

"I know he is injured at the moment but mentally he is very strong. He has come back from serious injuries before. It would give everyone a lift just having him around the place again. Richard Foster

"He was a good guy to have alongside you. If you made a mistake he more often than not bailed you out. He would encourage you and he would demand a high level of performance from you. The season when we finished third in the table, he was our best player that season by a mile. He brought everyone along with him including myself and Andrew who played beside him.

Richard then looked ahead to what are some very important games for the club this week.

"December is always a difficult month. It is a month we look forward to. There are a lot of games and points up for grabs. It will be a tough games on Tuesday and then another tough game on Saturday but games we are looking forward to.

"By all accountants St Johnstone are a well organised side as they were under Derek McInnes. As well as being well organised they try and knock the ball about. Like St Mirren and Kilmarnock they try and play football but that suits us.

"We have only got ourselves to blame for not taking the three points on Saturday against St Mirren. We were two goals up, contentious decisions apart, we should still have held on to win the game. That is the run we are on at the moment, we are not getting the breaks when we need them.

"When we went two up the game plan did not change but all credit to St Mirren who came at us a little bit more. We did not have so much time on the ball and crucially for them they got themselves back in the game just before half time. That killed our momentum a little bit. If we had held out till half time I think we would have won the game. They got a huge lift from that goal and they are always good on the ball. Initially they did not cause us any problems but when they got the goal their confidence increased and started putting us under pressure.

"St Johnstone will be hurting after their result on Saturday but to be fair Motherwell are a good side. Hopefully it should be a good game as both teams will be going for the win.

"Some of the media coverage has been very harsh but to be fair the performance against Kilmarnock was not acceptable. We know the fans expected more from us. We were determined to win the St Mirren game but unfortunately we could keep it going for the whole game.

"I would not say this is a must win game. If we lose would our season be over? We go in the game wanting to win, take the three points and want to put on a performance. To get something from it we will have to be at our best and maybe get that little bit of luck we require."
