Watched the highlights at lunch, didn't think he did much wrong for the goals. More just shocking defending and attempts at "finishing" from Magennis. God knows how he actually managed to score the hardest chance

Agreed, I don't see how playing Langfield solves any problems. He was nervous before his seizure, god know what he'll be like now!

he's only on a 1 year deal now anyway is he not? If this loan move goes through, then there's got to be a fair chance we'll never see him play for the dons again.

I hope he makes a full recovers from his seizure related illness, but in pure footballing terms, I'll be glad to see the back of him.

Loan for Langfield is only for 1 month. He will be back for start of January when Gonzalez departs. As poor as Langfield is he is a better keeper than Gonzalez.

Whether he is better or worse than Gonzalez is a separate debate. Langfield's not good enough for AFC.

 

You pick players who can do a job. Since Langfield isn't capable of doing a half decent job, you get rid. If the next keeper isn't good enough either, you get rid. If you keep on recruiting poor keepers, save yourself the price of a good one by getting rid of Leighton and his unnecessary wage.

Not to me its not, its handing the decision to the person who works with them day in day out and should know who's best.
