mizer
Apparently going to be on the STV news, presumably on loan till the end of the season. Thoughts?
manc_don
Could definitely use him and he was doing nothing at Derby.
Edinburghdon
My first thought is.... lol Then I realised I don't give a fuck so my second thought was... meh. I hope this answers your question Mizer
tom_widdows
Cant we just have him back permanantly for free He can join the ever increasing list of our players that fuck off to englandshire and end up coming back sharpish. Only one I can think of at the moment that hasnt been linked with a return is Barry Nic.
redordead
Not better than the currently employed underachievers. Waste of time. Let's give Pawlett the match time he deserves and see him flourish instead. Taking fivie off of the wings might help too. Let the boys show us what they are made of. Tyrant
I hate the cunt and was delighted to the back of him. But would take him back now.
Superstar Tradesman
Excellent. Someone else who can win us corners and notch up a few more marks on the woodwork.
BigAl
Apparently going to be on the STV news, presumably on loan till the end of the season. Thoughts? Never saw or heard the sports news, so given apparent lack of reporting in the papers today, I'm guessing this wasn't mentioned
manc_don
Not as far as i'm aware, but: Derby manager Nigel Clough tells former Aberdeen striker Chris Maguire that he can leave on an emergency loan this week. (The Sun) How's that working out for you?
baggy89
I'm sure Chris will enjoy furthering his career in League Two.

Superstar Tradesman
Fuck him. Need to send a clear message to these young guns that if they fail in their 'dream moves' to the likes of Derby then they're likely to rot there, and we won't be there to pick up the pieces. Sadly I can't see Maguire having enough brains to realise he has a second chance and he'll probably return thinking he's the star of the show. Billy Bigbaws himself. BigAl
We are not an emergency case. On that basis, he isn't coming back to us
Mentorred
We are not an emergency case. On that basis, he isn't coming back to us This, we need about 20 strikers to get injured before it becomes an emergency. More likely to end up at the huns. Tyrant
The Huns knew about their injuries and outgoing players but they chose to be tight cunts and do fuck all about it. They should not be considered an emergency case.
Jute
Pretty sure emergency loans only apply in England.

Jute
Didn't Dundee try and get Mackie on such a loan deal? From what I have read before its only the leagues outside the top flight in England that are allowed to sign loan players outside the transfer windows. Cannot remember seeing that had been extended to Scotland but possibly has.
Superstar Tradesman
Just because he's been told he's free to go out on emergency loan doesn't mean anyone wants the limp-wristed, girly-running, twinkle-toes.

The Championship, L1 and L2 don't have a transfer window.. but that's different from being able to sign someone on an emergency loan. baggy89
The Championship, L1 and L2 don't have a transfer window.. but that's different from being able to sign someone on an emergency loan. They do have a transfer window. The English (and I thought the Scottish started this season) football leagues also have a loan window that runs 8th September to 25th November and 8th February to 24th March. In which clubs can loan a player on an "emergency" loan for up to a maximum of 93 days in one season with no recall within the first 28 days unless the player is a goalkeeper. Youth loans are for players under 21 and can be open ended with no recall within the first 28 days at all (whether the player is an outfield player or goalkeeper). These rules have applied in the Football League since the inception of transfer windows but FIFA are unhappy with them and have told the Football League that all loans outside of a transfer window must be abolished by the 2014-15 season.
