It was smiles all round as Richard, joined by, Jamie Langfield, Scott Vernon, Fraser Fyvie and Rory McArdle, Rob Milsom, Andrew Considine and Youl Mawene toured the wards handing out sackfuls of AFC gifts to the brave youngsters and their families. The players spent over two hours on the wards happily posing for photographs and signing autographs while handing out gifts. All the gifts were bought with money contributed by each player in the home dressing room and also a generous donation from the club. The Club also gifted the hospital with AFC pyjama's to be given out to any youngsters who is unfortunately admitted to the wards during the Christmas period. Skipper, Richard Foster, was delighted to play his part in making the trip a great success: "The trip to the hospital is always one that we all look forward to and we are always amazed how positive the youngsters are, it really is a humbling experience and one that puts football into perspective. a very important date in our calendar. It is a privilege for us to be able to spend time with the children and hopefully it brought some festive cheer to them." http://www.afc.co.uk/javaImages/49/5b/0,,10284~10312521,00.jpg[/img] http://www.afc.co.uk/javaImages/51/5b/0,,10284~10312529,00.jpg[/img] Quote
