He definitely played for Motherwell there a few times. Definitely remember seeing him playing centre for Scotland U21s and for Motherwell most of the time. Can play left back as cover but have we not learnt from the McArdle experiment that playing a centre half at full back usually ends up biting you in the arse. Would much rather we went out and got player whose best position is full back and not some one that can cover there at a push. Quote
Elgin Ali G Posted January 6, 2012 Report Posted January 6, 2012 Always liked Mark Reynolds when he was at Motherwell, very cool on the ball but deffo as a Centre half/Sweeper behind Craigan ,, NOT a left back. Problem with another centre half being totally left sided is that Considine is the one out the rest of the Backs that has been playing really well and really don't think that works having nobody in the middle with a right foot. Perhaps we will get a LB (and RB and winger and striker and goalie and...) in too but our managers seem to averse to having a balanced squad. btw am I right in saying Milsom played LB for Fulham a fair bit in the past? No idea what all that proves other than McGhee either being daft and not cashing in on a player at the peak of his value or genuinely wanting to keep a good player.
