Reekie_Red Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 People who say he's great simply see the stats at the end of the season and say "he's our top scorer, so he must be good" Give Lovell the amount of second chances that Mackie's had, and we might nae be struggling at the bottom end of the league at the moment!!!! capitalsharpie Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 Dont rate him Nil composure in front of goal. A blind monkey would end up knocking in about the same given the amount of chances Mackie has had in the team. I agree with Reekie, give Lovell a decent run in the team and see what happens to those figures Quote

Lovell on his current form and current effort levels doesn't deserve to be in the side. Quote
Drewsome Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 Given Last night's Goal, how do we feel about Mackie now? Quote
Millers Tache Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 Still a very limited player with the control of an incontinent pensioner. Great goal on Thursday though. Quote
Millers Tache Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 By the by, i'm coming round to thinking that his limitations are what makes him a useful player for us. Domestically, we play a long ball game that's pretty poor to watch, and for that to work, you need runners up front, working their arses off - that's what Mackie does. Players with more "natural ability" (take note Messrs Lovell and Miller) are less inclined to do this running for the team, as they don't want to have to hunt the ball down. Quote
the soof king Posted October 6, 2007 Author Report Posted October 6, 2007 all credit to him on thursday.... lets hope he scores again for us on sunday.... mackies 50th goal too Quote
Wayneo Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 Still not the best forward, BUT gives 100% and isn't scared to stick the boot in,at least he tries and works unlike some others, Legend now though after thursday Quote
rednek Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 Thought that we lost something upfront when he went off and lovell came on. Mackie put himself about superbly and scored a goal remarkebly similar to a certain hewitt goal. Quote
