glasgow sheep Posted January 28, 2012 Report Posted January 28, 2012 Dons delight as they pull off a signing hat-trick By Michael Gannon Aberdeen will sign Gavin Rae on Monday after the Dundee midfielder agreed terms on an 18-month deal at Pittodrie. The 34-year-old Aberdonian will complete the formalities over the weekend to further bolster manager Craig Brown’s squad following the capture of former Motherwell and Rangers midfielder Stephen Hughes on a two-and-a-half year deal. There was further good news for Aberdeen supporters yesterday when it was revealed midfielder Isaac Osbourne has agreed a one-year extension to his contract. Quote
BigAl Posted January 28, 2012 Report Posted January 28, 2012 Happy with Ossie signing an extension. Still not sure about Hughes and Rae, although will give them every chance. Seems that a lot of Dundee supporters saying that Rae has been head and shoulders above others in Div 1. On that basis should probably still be able to cut it most weeks in SPL. All in, this must have been one of our most active transfer windows. Reckon only activity left before it shuts will be out the way. Quote

Madbadteacher Posted January 28, 2012 Report Posted January 28, 2012 can only think it's good for us to have a bigger and more experienced squad, and Gav may be the "old head" we need to bring on the likes of Fyvie, Paton and Pawlett (I hope) Quote
