mizer Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 ABERDEEN FC boss Craig Brown today revealed he will use Kari Arnason up front again this season. The Icelandic international was utilised as an attacker alongside Scott Vernon in the recent 0-0 draw with St Johnstone. Brown confirmed he could be pitched in as a striker when Aberdeen FC meet St Mirren in Paisley on Saturday. Using a defensive midfielder/defender as an attacker - the exciting football of CB beckons! Penfold Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 Yeh with Chalali, Uchechi, Magennis, Fallon, Mackie and Megginson available and Hughes, Osbourne, Pawlett, Folly and Clark out it makes perfect sense to move our best midfielder to attack. We play absolutely pish when he's not in central midfield. Canna fucking believe Brown didn't learn this from earlier in the season - particularly our visit to Paisley when they walked all over us. glasgow sheep Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 Does he just buy these strikers to sit on the bench and to get the crowd going when they warm up? Quote
Torryloon Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 Does he just buy these strikers to sit on the bench and to get the crowd going when they warm up? It's so he can create some excitement in the last 10 minutes so that people don't remember the boredom so much. Quote

Superstar Tradesman Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 Our strikers rarely get passed the halfway line so a midfielder should be well versed in that position. Quote
