scotfree Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 Will take that. Much better side second half. Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 Brown made some hellish decisions today. Losing patience. All those attacking options on the bench against a Celtic team nowhere near their best today, poor poor stuff. Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 Good game and we played well. Its a shame we weren't a bit more adventurous but we looked very composed and organised. Yes, this too is true but it will not win a great deal. I like being hard to beat and organised etc etc but there has to be a point at home against a team not quite up to their best where you have to believe a wee bit. No two ways about it, Brown went for the point. Time will tell if that was right or not but Fallon is still a useless useless player. Quote
manc_don Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 Agreed, it's a point I didn't expect us to get though. It's just a shame that the didn't try and be a bit more positive with this substitution selection. How Fallon continues to get a game is beyond me, and without Vernon, we really would be fucked! Just needs a decent strike partner. Quote
Kowalski Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 Good result, sounded like a good second half. We need to start Vernon and Chalali up front IMHO, give them a chance to gel. Quote

That would be my guess too. Today either Chalali or Magennis could have made an impact late on, particularly Magennis. Quote
Kowalski Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 Quite like Magennis as a sub, bit of a bull in a china shop just when you need it. Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 The last 2 games have only started after half time for us, and that surely tells us that Broon isnt happy in the negative style in the 1st halves? He's got to trust his players. There is a base there to have a good team, let them off the leash a bit and the 1pts should turn into 3pts more often than not. ps Fallon is ding. It doesn't work. Please stop trying to force it to. Quote
stubo72 Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 Not sure what Brown sees in Fallon. He is slow, doesn't seem to know where the goal is and doesn't seem to hold the ball up particularly well, as far as I can see. Get Vernon up front with someone with pace playing off him. Please. Still decent result, although Celtic were piss-poor the day. Quote
Mentorred Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 We were playing a team 42 points ahead of us in the league, who had won their last 20 domestic games. I am delight to take a point. Quote
caledonia Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 Do you think Fallon is the new Mackie Quote
glasgow sheep Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 Can't be arsed typing too much just now, but overall good performance and certainly deserved at least a point. Fallon is fucking awful, again. Vernon was superb. We won't be top 6 but we should fear nobody in the cup, looking forward to next week. Quote
manc_don Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 Do you think Fallon is the new Mackie Probably true, minus the giving a shit about Aberdeen. Quote
Mentorred Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 Do you think Fallon is the new Mackie I don't think he is that good. Quote
McMaster Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 Good result. Could have had them. Creative spark still missing. Defence looked no bad. Celtic were poor. Let's face facts with the team and injuries we have had, great. Stopped celtics run and kept ours up. Huns r in shit. So all in all, I'm happy. Not saying I am changing my tune on Brown entirely. But he is making a dent in my thoughts. Quote
maverick sheep Posted March 4, 2012 Report Posted March 4, 2012 good point but thought it was garbage yesterday. can't believe two teams that bad are so long undefeated. mawene the new yoann folly. Quote
glasgow sheep Posted March 4, 2012 Report Posted March 4, 2012 I thought it was a good battling performance. We created some good chances and on a better day would have won. Celtic were poor but that shouldn't take away from the Dons performance, especially second half. Too much negativity expressed in this thread, I enjoyed yesterdays game and am pleased with the performance and result. We could do better, of course we could, and Brown needs to explain why he brought in Chalali and Ucechi if they are going to play second fiddle to the likes of Fallon and on current form Fyvie. No real complaints about the rest of the team however and although this season will be played out in the bottom six I'm looking hopefully toward next season. Quote
rocket_scientist Posted March 4, 2012 Report Posted March 4, 2012 First AFC game for a while where it wasn't embarrassing. On that score, pass marks. But Celtic were garbage too. Two very poor football teams. Quote

TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted March 4, 2012 Report Posted March 4, 2012 Mostly less mate. He's is not very good. Quote
manc_don Posted March 4, 2012 Report Posted March 4, 2012 Didn't realise there was much negativity in this thread Apart from stating the obvious that fallon is garbage. Quote
tlg1903 Posted March 4, 2012 Report Posted March 4, 2012 To be fair to fallon he wasnt quite as useless in this game as he has been in previous games. Nowhere near un-useless enough to warrant Vernon being punted out to the wing though Quote

Less poor than before etc... different shades of shite and he shouldn't be shunting our main (possibly only) scoring threat out to the flanks. Quote
dandy Posted March 4, 2012 Report Posted March 4, 2012 So stokes tackle never even mentioned on sportscene. What a fukin joke!! Quote
Stewart Posted March 4, 2012 Report Posted March 4, 2012 They managed to get in Mawene's one even though it wasn't deemed good enough for the highlights. Quote
