glasgow sheep
Programme on Channel 4 last night about trying to assess what Britishness is and integrate people from different backgrounds in Bradford. Anyway they got folk to sit a test similar to the Citizenship test immigrants sit before being allowed to become British Citizens. In the programme 90%+ of white, black and asians who did the test failed. Oh how I mocked........until I did the test too and failed miserably with 58%. Not sure how any of these questions makes (or does not make) you British but it would seem I am as ignorant as everyone else, perhaps I should be deported Have a bash http://www.channel4.com/programmes/make-bradford-british/articles/channel-4-citizenship-test

rocket_scientist
12/24. Rejected, it says. You have to get 18 of 24 stupid questions correct to be considered "British"? You would have to be stupid to believe that this is a genuine survey. Or it is, in fact, a survey designed and commissioned by the most stupid of people. Given my opinion of civil servants, I wouldn't rule out the latter. For the record, if they ever design a true barometer of Britshness, I don't want to be. The state of Britishness is a forced falsehood, an instrument of state with which to abuse natives.

I'm pretty sure drinking laws are different in Scotland and England, so I deserve at least 1 extra point.

Mentorred
33%. Seems alot harder than the questions for becoming an American Citizen. If I remember right I got asked 6 questions out of a possible 100 and they were. What do the stars on the flag mean? Can someone not born in the USA become President? What 3 counties fought against America and the allies in world war 2. What is the voting age in the USA? What holdiay is observed on the 4th of July? How many terms can a US president service? If you just did that test you should've taken in that it was on the Channel 4 website.
