glasgowdon Posted March 8, 2012 Report Posted March 8, 2012 Lots of rumblings around the usual sources that he is training with us, scored in a bounce game against Dundee and could sign by Friday to go into the squad for Sunday. Would be happier with him rather than Fallon. Quote
Penfold Posted March 8, 2012 Report Posted March 8, 2012 Well the annual Stephen Hughes rumour produced this season, so why not Alan Gow too. Quote
Tyrant Posted March 8, 2012 Report Posted March 8, 2012 Always liked him as a player. Is he not more of a winger though? Quote
glasgowdon Posted March 8, 2012 Author Report Posted March 8, 2012 Always liked him as a player. Is he not more of a winger though? Same, I think he is equally deployable on left wing or up front. Quote
glasgowdon Posted March 8, 2012 Author Report Posted March 8, 2012 Jesus, the annual Alan Gow thread. Yep, however, he played in a bounce game and is training with us which makes this thread different... Quote
mizer Posted March 8, 2012 Report Posted March 8, 2012 With positive signings we can finish top of the bottom 6 Quote
Tyrant Posted March 8, 2012 Report Posted March 8, 2012 If we signed him I wonder if he'd actually get on the fucking park. Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted March 8, 2012 Report Posted March 8, 2012 Gow has done nothing in his career and there is a reason for that... he has a heart the size of a pea. The ability is there, but it appears the application/desire isn't. Quote

Would be a good example for the young'uns if true. Quote
mizer Posted March 8, 2012 Report Posted March 8, 2012 His last year has been interesting! Gow was offered a one year contract by Indian club East Bengal, and he traveled there for a trial assessment in July 2011. Gow agreed to join the club in August 2011. In January 2012, East Bengal FC released Gow. Gow then entered contract negotiations with Iranian club Rah Ahan, despite the UK Government advising him not to travel there. Quote

Kowalski Posted March 8, 2012 Report Posted March 8, 2012 Hopefully he curries favour with the Dons management team. Quote
mizer Posted March 8, 2012 Report Posted March 8, 2012 Hopefully he curries favour with the Dons management team. If he shows them the eye of the tiger I'm sure he will Quote
glasgow sheep Posted March 8, 2012 Report Posted March 8, 2012 So remind me again why we signed Ucechi and Chalali? What about young Mitch and Peter? Quote
tlg1903 Posted March 8, 2012 Report Posted March 8, 2012 He might just add a bit of spice to the breast of our attack Quote
Kowalski Posted March 8, 2012 Report Posted March 8, 2012 From official Twitter account: Alan Gow training with Dons using facilities to keep fitness up. He's not on trial. Quote
glasgowdon Posted March 8, 2012 Author Report Posted March 8, 2012 From official Twitter account: Didn't that happen with someone else and they got signed? Quote
BigAl Posted March 8, 2012 Report Posted March 8, 2012 Got text message on this around 9pm last night. Although usually reliable source, decided not to post. IF and it kind of sounds unlikely given post above, we were to sign him, can't really see how it would weaken us in any shape or form. Against that not really sure that he would strenghten our squad, and would merely confuse Mr Brown even further in terms of squad selection Quote
Jute Posted March 8, 2012 Report Posted March 8, 2012 Didn't that happen with someone else and they got signed? Pretty sure that was what they said about Fallon. Agree with what BB has said and not a player I would want at AFC. Quote

Tyrant Posted March 8, 2012 Report Posted March 8, 2012 The way I see it shite (arguably) winger is better than nae winger. Quote
KGB Posted March 8, 2012 Report Posted March 8, 2012 The way I see it shite (arguably) winger is better than nae winger. You dont remember Haraldur Ingolfsson then who was shite and was arguable worse than nae winger? Quote
