I have not been to many games in recent times due to working a lot of weekends but in the burst of games on telly recently I have noticed a real improvement in Mcardle when in the rb position.  A year ago a five year old paraplegic would have little issue getting past him but he looks to me to have improved a great deal.  Its harder to tell when on the tv, for those that are getting along more than i what do you think?  It looks to me that he actually understands the position a lot better in both positioning and decisions made when on the ball.  He had quite a decent ping at goal in the first half on saturday too now i think about it.

Thoughts?

Whilst I don't disagree with what you're saying about McArdle getting better at right back I'd say the most improved player award should go to either Jack, Brown or Considine.

Certainly from the games I have seen on TV / highlights (I haven't been able to make it to any games this year) I have been very impressed with him. I really hope he gets a new deal because I think he's grown into his role and appears to enjoy playing for the club. Chips in with the odd goal too.

Yeah I've never had any issue with jack but that's not to say he hasn't come on in leaps and bounds.  I would add that i thought Mcardle was fine when he was in the middle last season, just at fb he was a heart in the mouth player.

considine has come on leaps and bounds so i'd say he's improved more than anyone. jack is progressing in the manner he always looked like doing. mcardle's been good enough recently but at the start of the season at right back he cost us a fair few points single handedly.
