But why must the whole world celebrate the Patron Saint of Eire? There were lots of folk pretending to be irish last night and I've always thought it was pretty pathetic. It's not for me, but if people are daft enough to not know what it stands for and still participate, fuck them. Good on the pubs for taking advantage of them! The reason why they're so contrived is that these specific days, whatever pagan or historical reason for their existence, are almost exclusively promoted by corporatocracies for the sole purpose of making money.
